Book Exhibition Held in Kabul to Celebrate World Book Day
Date: 22 April 2025 (1404/2/4)
To mark World Book Day, the Ariana Bakhtar Non-Profit Library, in coordination with the private school Al-Subh Al-Qareeb, organized a vibrant and engaging book exhibition in Kabul.
The exhibition featured a wide selection of books across various fields, including religious studies, science, history, medicine, economics, literature, and social sciences. Enthusiastic students from Al-Subh Al-Qareeb School visited the exhibition, explored the collection, and received some of their favorite books as gifts.
The core aim of the exhibition was to promote reading among children and youth, ignite their interest in books, and familiarize them with the educational services offered by the Ariana Bakhtar Library. Volunteers from the library introduced the students to its mission and activities.
Mr. Amir Ahmad “Sepas”, the library’s volunteer director, addressed the students with an inspiring speech:
“The Ariana Bakhtar Library is your second home. This is where you can expand your thoughts, discover your talents, and connect with the world of knowledge. Our doors are open to you six days a week, completely free of charge. Come, read, learn, and build a brighter future for yourselves and your community.”
Heartfelt appreciation was also extended to the dedicated volunteer teachers of the Ariana Bakhtar Library who, with no expectation of material gain, contribute with sincerity and passion to the education and intellectual growth of Afghanistan’s future generations.
Special thanks were given to Mr. Nawid Ahmad Kohi, a leadership board member of the library, for his key role in coordinating with schools and helping to organize this meaningful event.
This exhibition not only served as a bridge between students and books, but also stood as a symbol of cultural solidarity and sincere efforts that continue to blossom within the heart of the community.
