Anguilla Amateur Radio Society

Anguilla Amateur Radio Society Hams located on ANGUILLA Island. Anguilla (/ænˈɡwɪlə/ ann-GWIL-ə) is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. Enjoy the page!

It is one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles. This is an Amateur (Ham) Radio group for people who love ham radio! GROUP MEMBERSHIP: Acceptance into this group is dependent on answering three free form questions. This is one of the few spam barometers we have access to and no one except administrators will be shown the answers. No request will be approved unless all

three questions are answered and you must agree to follow the group guidelines (shown below and in the page information), no exceptions. Requests with unanswered questions are held in queue for three days and then deleted if all questions are not answered. REPORTING POSTS: If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact an group administrator and feel free to use the "Report Post" function to bring attention to any posts that need to be moderated. GROUP GUIDELINES:

We DO NOT TALK Sex, Race, Religion or Politics!! Commercial advertisement postings of any kind will be deleted and repeat offenders will be banned. Any off topic posts not related to ham radio will be deleted and repeat offenders will be banned. We use "related" very loosely so unless it's completely unrelated, you're probably fine. Abuse (including abusive pictures, "memes"), personal attacks (this includes denigrating YL's and XYL's, they're part of our family too), trolling, excessive swearing, and scamming posts will not be tolerated and will result in your immediate termination from this group. A good rule of thumb is, if you're not supposed to say it or do it on the air, please refrain from bringing it into the group. This includes acronyms that involve derogatory language (You're not fooling anyone, don't do it). Keep in mind that this is a family friendly group containing children. Anguilla Ham Radio Association Net meets Monday to Friday 11:00-11:30 UTC local 07:00-07:30 AST

On World Amateur Radio Day, all radio amateurs are invited to take to the airwaves to enjoy our global friendship with other amateurs, and to show our skills and capabilities to the public.

😎The theme for 2024 is "A Century of Connections: Celebrating 100 years of Amateur Radio Innovation, Community, and Advocacy"😎

How: World Amateur Radio Day is not a contest but rather an opportunity to “talk” about the value of amateur radio to the public and our fellow amateur colleagues. It is also a great opportunity to talk about your radio club and amateur radio in local media as a lead-up to ARRL Field Day (held each year during the fourth full weekend in June) and another ham radio related activity in your community – such as volunteers who serve in local emergency communication readiness..

Here are just a few ways AXA Hams are participate in and promote World Amateur Radio Day:

Getting on the air!
Showcasing Amateur Radio 👍🏽 in schools and commercial Radio.
Create our own personal “event” to talk about amateur radio.
Let's all get onboard.
