Barangay San Cristobal Tech4Ed Center continues its effort to provide access to government services through the use of technology.

We offer free WIFI for ALL, especially for students to make their school activities as well as for government online transactions such as online appointments and free coworking space accommodations with free photocopies and printing.

We express our gratitude to DICT MIMAROPA and DICT Oriental Mindoro for granting us FREE WIFI for ALL. This really helps our people in the community, especially connecting online through free internet access.

We would like to thank the Sangguniang Barangay Council, former and present administration, to Hon. Jesusa P. Rabi for her support in this project as Punong Barangay of San Cristobal. To all the barangay officials who are committed and dedicated to helping the community.

Also, we would like to thank the efforts of Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay San Cristobal as one of the partners headed by Hon. Jennie Viv T. Requintina and the SK Council.

Creating access to the new norm and breaking the digital divide through conducting various activities and trainings in our community.

🤝 Serbisyo Caravan Para Sa Taong Bayan - September 28, 2024 🌟

The Revitalized Pulis Sa Barangay (RPSB) Team San Cristobal, led by PLT Franco Gorospe, in collaboration with various agencies including the Provincial Health Office, Victoria Municipal Police Station, BFP Victoria, and Barangay Officials, conducted a successful Serbisyo Caravan at Barangay San Cristobal, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro.

The event provided a variety of services including:

Food packs, slippers, and school supplies distribution
Medical and dental check-ups facilitated by Governor Humerlito "Bonz" Dolor to promote health through glucose and uric acid screenings.

Livestock distribution of 110 chicks from the Victoria Municipal Agriculture Office.

Zumba sessions, games, free haircuts, and a feeding program for the children.

There were also important lectures on avoiding CPP-NPA-NDF influence, led by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, and school supplies given to Nena Reyes Arago Elementary School students.

Furthermore, Wi-Fi assistance was provided through the Tech4Ed Center, ensuring participants had internet access for health information and other resources.

The event fostered a sense of unity and gratitude, with the community expressing heartfelt thanks for the services received. It was a true testament to the power of community care and collective kindness.

🚗 RPSB and LTO Victoria Promote Road Safety in Barangay San Cristobal 🚦

On September 14-15, 2024, Revitalized Pulis Sa Barangay (RPSB) Team San Cristobal, led by PLT Franco Gorospe, in partnership with LTO Victoria and Barangay San Cristobal Officials, held a Community Outreach Program through an LTO Caravan at Barangay San Cristobal, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro.

With 109 participants, including Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and residents from neighboring barangays, the event provided a free 15-hour Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) covering essential road safety, laws, and signals. The program also assisted participants in acquiring Student Permits. Additionally, Wi-Fi assistance was made available through the Tech4Ed Center, ensuring participants had access to digital resources for completing requirements.

To further support the community, free lugaw was served to all, adding warmth and care to them.

This initiative exemplifies the commitment to empowering local communities through education, technology, and practical services. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this successful event! 🙏

📢 Senior Citizen Meeting Recap – October 6, 2024

We had an amazing and productive day at the Barangay San Cristobal Gymnasium last October 6, 2024, as we gathered for a special Senior Citizen Meeting! 🎉👴👵

Our seniors came together for discussions, updates, and fellowship, all with the goal of enhancing community involvement and support. A special thanks to everyone who assisted in making this event a success, especially for the Wi-Fi access provided to ensure everyone stayed connected! 💻📶

The DICT Oriental Mindoro under the Cybersecurity Bureau conducted an Awareness Cybersecurity Webinar covering the topic of "Enhancing Digital Protection: Cybersecurity for Everyone, last July 19, 2024.
Participants gained knowledge on cyber safety and how to stay safe online and learned about their rights and duties when accessing the internet. Additionally, participants gained valuable knowledge about social media, computer etiquette, online legislation, and how to use them to be aware and knowledgeable when utilizing these platforms.
Together, we can reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of cyberattacks and build a better-informed society.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology - Oriental Mindoro, through its Cybersecurity Bureau, conducted a Digital Citizenship awareness for college students from the Baco Community College and Divine World College of Calapan who are undergoing on-the-job training at the DICT-Oriental Mindoro provincial office on July 25, 2024.
The On-the-Job Trainees were taught how to stay safe online and become responsible social media users. The program highlighted the significance of understanding digital rights and responsibilities, safeguarding personal information, and promoting respectful online interactions.
By starting with themselves and extending these practices to their families, friends, and communities, participants learned to navigate the online world safely, ethically, and effectively.
