National Reconciliation Week calls on each of us to actively contribute to reconciliation every day. This year’s theme, All In, reminds us that reconciliation is not passive, it requires understanding and action from everyone.
At SA Dental, we are demonstrating a strong commitment to reconciliation through our ongoing work with First Nations communities in rural South Australia. Our recent visit to Umoona Tjutagku Health Service in Coober Pedy, saw dental and other health services come together with the local community to support culturally appropriate healthcare.
Local resident and artist, Dawn, is a familiar face at our clinic, receiving general treatment and ongoing care that supports her oral health and wellbeing.
These monthly visits to rural communities focus on listening, understanding, and building connections through safe and quality care. Our priority is ensuring respectful engagement so each person leaves our clinic feeling supported in their oral health journey, with the knowledge and confidence to maintain healthy habits for the long term. 🪥💛
We’re proud of being able to provide 10 years of dental care on Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara land (Coober Pedy), and continuing our commitment to reconciliation through ongoing learning, respect and meaningful relationships with First Nations peoples.
We’re , and together, we can help build a healthier, more inclusive future for all South Australians.
