Westpac Domestic Violence

Earlier today, WESTPAC announced new measures to make digital banking safer for customers, including giving customers the ability to report abusive messages via online and mobile banking, and blocking inappropriate language from outgoing payments. The changes have been introduced in response to the growing issue of digital payment channels being used as alternate messaging services to send abuse and threats via the description and reference fields in payment transactions.

A father said to his daughter “You have graduated with honors, here is a car I bought many years ago. It is pretty old now. But before I give it to you, take it to the used car lot downtown and tell them I want to sell it and see how much they offer you for it.

The daughter went to the used car lot, returned to her father and said, “They offered me $1,000 because the said it looks pretty worn out.”

The father said, now “Take it to the pawn shop.” The daughter went to the pawn shop, returned to her father and said,”The pawn shop offered only $100 because it is an old car.”

The father asked his daughter to go to a car club now and show them the car. The daughter then took the car to the club, returned and told her father,” Some people in the club offered $100,000 for it because it’s a Nissan Skyline R34, it's an iconic car and sought by many collectors”

Now the father said this to his daughter, “The right place values you the right way,” If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who appreciate you......Never stay in a place where no one sees your value.

Never!

Slowly coming out of COVID and moving closer to Christmas, you may feel exhausted. Stress can create unknown ill-health, not only for our minds, but our bodies.

Take the time to simply BE - to be present and in the moment. To appreciate all that is around you and how amazing you are. To know that what is to come will set you free. To dream bigger dreams, to wish for the wonderful in your life and to acknowledge the good.

Enjoy the moments that remain in this day. Be grateful that whatever didn't go well for you will melt into the past and what is to come, is created by you and for you.

Most of us know that interacting with a pet reduces levels of cortisol, the stress hormone whilst it can raise our levels of serotonin and dopamine, the hormones that calm and relax the nervous system. It also increases the release of oxytocin—another chemical in the body that reduces stress naturally
The Sensory act of stroking a pet lowers blood pressure and in return reduces stress levels. With all these positive attributes, why would anyone want to hurt an animal? We need to protect our family pets from abuse at all cost.
Your pet can be your litmus test to tell you, you are okay. They know when an environment and a person is under threat or in a stressful situation. We need to protect them at all cost. They unconditionally improve our well-being, self-esteem and keep you from being lonely.

Simple and purposeful words from one of the organisations we support.

Equanimity is a conditioned state
Essentially, life develops equanimity as we open more and more to our experiences. Being present for both the things that we like and those we don't like. In our daily lives we have the opportunity to notice the state of our being and how it relates to the people and situations around us. We can cultivate the willingness to be equally close to all things and also know when to let go. Equanimity is the state of quiet that exists inside of us whilst we watch the world evolve around us.

Good morning all. Can you believe we are near the end of June. We are currently supporting The Equanimity Project, an Australian first initiative that tells the story of two women who have never met but both are trapped in their own prison.
One had her freedom taken away by no other reason than misfortune, and the other was locked in a cycle of mental and physical abuse. What they have in common, is the same monster imprisoned them both within their lives – inequality.
To break free and eliminate the repetitive cycle they have endured, we are building innovative solutions that abolish the disparity of discrimination and provide an equitable way of life.
The Equanimity Project has developed a ground-breaking and responsive solution to effectively reduce Domestic Violence and alleviate Homelessness for women through community engagement and active, meaningful participation.
If you are interested in knowing more, please DM us here. This will launch in the next 2 - 3 weeks.

No matter your faith, the need to believe in yourself is important to succeed and be wealthy in life.
Wealthy is a very generous word. It’s not just about money. It’s about feeling satisfied with your choices, rewarded from the challenges you overcome, accomplished from the smallest detail.

A state of wealth is realised when benevolence becomes more important than restraint. When contentment and gratitude are the flow of your life.

Feeling fulfilled is not about abundance nor indulgence. It’s about ‘knowing’. That where you are today is perfect and where you will be tomorrow is the discovery of self you look forward to.

Everyone you meet, every smile, word or deed is accountable to your wealthy state. Kindness over greed, love over hate, sharing over holding back. You are exceptional and what you have to give is abundance and richness. Your contribution to your life and the life of others is what makes you wealthy. From every sunrise to each sunset your actions can make a difference and have consequence to the life of many.

Trust in your intuitive self-belief to give you the direction & the truth to a wealthy life.

Everything is relevant to time. As we tick over into 2020 are you ready to leap into your future. A new decade means letting go of what's holding you back and setting up the processes to create the life you want to have.

Time holds the key to wise decisions, visions fulfilled in hours, memories held in minutes, intuition in seconds. It won't wait for you & you can't keep it - so spend it well. It won't stand still & neither should you.

Let the start of 2020 move you forward to fulfill your desires, facing your fears and becoming even more of the amazing person you are.

Time can be your ally or your adversary. It's time to choose.

To paraphrase an excerpt from Oprah Winfrey at the Women in the World 2019 convention:
“We’ve got to rock the boat. To join forces, scrap the rules…and reinvent the game”.
So, whilst the rest of the world is talking about making reducing violence everyone’s business, The Equanimity Project® is leaning in, digging deep and establishing a world-first framework of opportunity where resolution “becomes everyone’s business”. On Giving Tuesday - please give your time to find out how to make a difference and reduce Domestic Abuse and Homelessness.

Taking place December 3rd, GivingTuesday is a worldwide event that works on harnessing the collective power of individuals, communities and organisations, to inspire people to start getting more involved! This year The Equanimity Project wanted to get involved with the millions of people around the globe giving time, energy and in our case Equanimity to their communities. “The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet.” We are taking the pledge to continue this awesome program next year, and quite possibly the year after that!

Help us spread the word by supporting us this GivingTuesday by sharing our posts, stories and #givingtuesday #givingequanimity #givetime #givingtime #givingvoice #giveequanimity #gaveequanimity #givingthanks #givinggratitude #nonprofit #notforprofit #charity #theequanimityproject #support #equanimitychampions #champions #calmness #strongercommunity #resilientperspectives #australianstories #resistance #pushthrough #unstoppable #tryequanimity #myequanimity #maitainequanimity #givingvoicetothe80percent #resilience #australianresilience #TheEquanimityProject
