As part of Queensland Day celebrations, our Year 4-6 students participated in Queensland’s Biggest Classroom event, hosted today by the Queensland Virtual Academy.
Participating in this event gave our students the opportunity to connect with others and engage in learning about our vast state. They engaged in discussions and interactive mapping activities. The lesson explored Queensland’s primary industries and the important role they play in shaping our communities and economy.

A day with QUESTACON…

Yesterday our staff took time away from class to participate in an exciting learning opportunity: the Engineering is Elementary workshop program.

Defence is championing STEM education through its support of Questacon’s 'Engineering is Elementary' workshop program and we were excited to welcome Lieutenant Commander Nicholas Coxsedge and Chief Petty Officer Shaun Lowry to our school.

This hands-on professional development initiative equips teachers across Australia with the skills and confidence to bring science, technology, engineering and mathematics into the classroom.

We had a terrific day filled with laughter, rich conversation, and plenty of experimentation — and some of our submersibles even worked!
