In the age of open data, how can we not only protect but empower our most vulnerable children and young people?
Can we improve the pace of change? Can we foster meaningful innovation yet also maintain safeguards that protect the rights of the individual and their family?

Keynote topic: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied

This presentation will challenge some convention thinking and provide you with use-cases to explore examples of what is possible. Explore strategies in an increasingly resource constrained, risk-adverse sector that desperately needs to do far more to improve outcomes, focus more on prevention and breaking the perpetuating cycles of poverty and abuse.

Presented by Vinod Ralh | Director, Platform Engineering. Consulting, Deloitte & Sarah Winter| Partner, Human Services & Community Infrastructure, Financial Advisory, Deloitte Australia

Must attend session for professionals working with children and young adults who need to keep up to date with child protection trends and tools to overcome constraints.

‘Tommy’ the film will debut at the Safe Children Conference in less than two weeks, Darren Mort Barrister at Law describes the impact the film had with his colleagues in a recent interview with The Law Society of NSW. His hope is that the film will be viewed by parents, lawyers, social workers and the judiciary as an educative tool, hence why he choose The Safe Children Conference for its first screening.
