We would like to give a big thank you to the Atherton Rotary Club North Queensland Australia and their wonderful volunteers for the very generous donation of polar fleece blankets. 💜💙💚

With the winter nights temperatures dropping, these blankets will make a real difference to people in our community who are doing it tough. We know there will be many very appreciative recipients staying a little warmer this season thanks to your kindness and support.

Community generosity like this reminds us how powerful it is when people come together to care for one another. Thank you for helping us support those who need it most. 🫶

⚠️ Reminder – Tabo & Mt Garnet Outreach

A reminder that the food outreach truck will not be operating tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26, due to unavoidable circumstances.

The service will resume on Tuesday, June 9.

For urgent needs, Ravenshoe Community Centre’s Emergency Relief is available Monday to Friday, 10am–12pm.

👨‍👩‍👧 NEW: Family Connections Playgroup

Better Together Community Support is excited to launch our new Family Connections Playgroup — a relaxed monthly catch-up for families with children under 10.

Join us on the last Monday of each month from 1–3pm on the verandah for an afternoon of connection, conversation and play in a welcoming community space.

☕ Tea, coffee and biscuits provided
🧸 Relaxed social play for children
💬 Meet other local families and carers
🥪 Feel free to bring a plate or snack to share

We need you 🫵

🚐 We need Volunteers to be Drivers & Support People 🍎🥖

We are looking for reliable volunteers to help collect food donations from OzHarvest in Cairns and bring them back to Atherton. These donations support our local Community Pantry on Mondays and food parcel runs on Tuesdays.

We are seeking:
✅ Volunteer Drivers (small truck – C Class licence only)
✅ Support Volunteers to assist with packing, unloading, safe lifting, carrying and movement of stock and supplies

📅 Mondays & Tuesdays (choose one day or both)
📍 Atherton & Cairns runs

This is a rewarding way to give back and directly support local families and individuals in need. Full training and support will be provided.
