This Thursday Central Highlands Water will be in attendance to offer their assistance to families in need of utility relief grants and for those with eligible concession cards, a concession applied for their water bills. This concession can even be back dated.

Today I give thanks for Marilyn's life, mother of Emily, step-mother of Sim, Leanne and Melissa.

On this day we honour all mothers. We remember all who wanted to be Mum's but were denied that opportunity. And we remember those older sisters, aunts, cousins and neigbours who provided a mothering role when Mum unable to do so.

The step-mother's role is not an easy one for she is often met with resentment and hostility from children who are grieving the loss of their mother, or, in the case of separated parents, coming between Dad and Mum, breaking up the family.

I believe Marilyn did that reasonably succesively.Today I give thanks for Marilyn's life, mother of Emily Marsh, step-mother of Sim, Leanne and Melissa.
