This week is NAIDOC week, and this year's theme, 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy' reminds us that every classroom can be a place of Cultural pride, truth-telling and transformation.

AISNSW celebrates the role of educators in engaging with and weaving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices across their schools to authentically and respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander curriculum content for all students year-round, not just this week.

We remain committed to walking alongside schools as they grow Culturally safe, inclusive and future-focused communities.

Empowering Independent Education

Our aim is to promote the cause of independent schooling and to provide services to the leaders, teachers and staff who work at member schools drawing from NSW, ACT and internationally. We represent the diverse views across the independent schools sector. These are the principals we support:

Parents have the right to choose the schooling they want for their child

Every child has the right to a minimum level of government funding support for their schooling

Additional funding should be provided on the basis of need
