The countdown is on!

Today, we officially launched the 2026 Hills Winter Sleep Out, proudly hosted by Castle Towers.

A huge thank you to our major sponsors โ€“ Beyond Bank, Landen, Ironborn and Castle Towers โ€“ for their incredible support in helping us raise awareness of homelessness and housing insecurity in our community.

We were excited to unveil the new electronic signage throughout Castle Towers, helping spread the message and encouraging our community to get involved in this yearโ€™s Sleep Out.

Every night, too many people in our community face the reality of homelessness. By taking part in the Hills Winter Sleep Out, you can help make a difference and support the vital services that assist people experiencing hardship.

Together, we can end homelessness.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch and to our sponsors, supporters and participants who are standing with us to create positive change.

Register today and help us make this our biggest Sleep Out yet. https://sleep-out-2026.raiselysite.com/

It's Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and with thanks to a grant from Castle Hill RSL, Hills Community Aid was able to build on the great Good Men Project campaign we had run for a number of years. This new grant funded the development of the โ€œGood Men Donโ€™tโ€ Podcast, which seeks to give men connected to the Hills LGA a voice in the conversation about building respectful relationships and a deeper understanding of the issue of Domestic Violence in our society.
The Podcast aims to highlight good male role models who exemplify respectful relationship behaviours and interview people with lived experience and specialised knowledge from work in the field. Itโ€™s also a forum for men who might question their own behaviour to learn and seek help.
Men in the local community were surveyed relating to thoughts and behaviours around men and healthy relationships and interactions with women. In this episode, Dominic Nair joined Warren and Levi to discuss these results and other topics.
