It's Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and with thanks to a grant from Castle Hill RSL, Hills Community Aid was able to build on the great Good Men Project campaign we had run for a number of years. This new grant funded the development of the “Good Men Don’t” Podcast, which seeks to give men connected to the Hills LGA a voice in the conversation about building respectful relationships and a deeper understanding of the issue of Domestic Violence in our society.
The Podcast aims to highlight good male role models who exemplify respectful relationship behaviours and interview people with lived experience and specialised knowledge from work in the field. It’s also a forum for men who might question their own behaviour to learn and seek help.
Men in the local community were surveyed relating to thoughts and behaviours around men and healthy relationships and interactions with women. In this episode, Dominic Nair joined Warren and Levi to discuss these results and other topics.

In this interview, Warren and Levi chat to Sarah (not her real name or voice) about her personal experience living with abuse. This is a very brave and enlightening interview.

We are incredibly privileged to work alongside 128 amazing volunteers who generously give their time, skills, compassion, and experience to support our community every day.

Some volunteer to give back, some to stay socially connected, some to build skills and confidence for employment — but every single person makes a difference. Together, their contributions create stronger connections, greater support, and a more caring community for everyone.

Thank you to each of our volunteers for the impact you make across our programs and services. Your kindness, commitment, and dedication truly help empower communities to thrive.
