Representing the communities of Beenleigh, Bahrs Scrub, Bannockburn, Carbrook, Cornubia, Eagleby, Edens Landing, Holmview, Mount Warren Park, Windaroo and parts of the suburbs of Loganholme and Waterford, we are proudly the home branch of Melissa McMahon MP, State Member for Macalister. The modern Beenleigh Branch was formed in 2004 by the merger of the Beenleigh-Eagleby and Beenleigh-Mount Warren

So there’s the Stafford by-election this weekend.
It just so happens that the LNP government and their blue branding are shouting about their work in Stafford (even if this billboard isn’t even in Stafford).
Queenslanders are paying for this convenient government advertising at a rate of over $40,000 a week.

And what is the upgrade that this $40,000 a week billboard crowing about? This school in question got $20,000 in whiteboard upgrades.

We need to talk about reproductive rights in Queensland.

The Katters - who have four seats already - have now confirmed they WILL introduce a bill next term to wind back Queenslanders’ access to abortion.

The Leader of the Opposition can’t prevent a conscience vote for his party in the QLD parliament on these important laws.

And, all but three LNP MPs voted against abortion laws.

The Labor party needs to hold government to block dangerous legislation like this - I’m asking for your support and number one vote to do this.

Delivering nuclear in Australia just doesn’t make sense.
The LNP haven’t been able to answer simple questions on their nuclear plan like:

•Where they will get the huge amounts of water need to run a nuclear power plant and how will this impact the availability of drinking water for local communities?

•How they will store the significant quantities of nuclear waste generated by these power plants?

•How they will prevent risks to communities when natural disasters hit?

The LNP want to scrap our world leading renewables investment and replace it with risky and expensive nuclear energy.

Nuclear will make power more expensive for Queenslanders and will leave Queensland as a dumping ground for nuclear waste.

We can’t take that risk. Who's really controlling the LNP in Queensland?
