Today, some of our Faith & Spiritual Elders together with our Community Care Manager, Martina, took part in training focused on family violence awareness in multicultural communities.

It explored how faith leaders can better recognise the signs of family violence, respond safely and help create spaces where people feel supported, heard and cared for. It was a great opportunity to keep learning about an issue that affects many people and communities.

In April 2024, two Australian doctors from Sydney — Dr Sanjay Adusumilli and Dr Siraj Sira — entered Gaza as part of a small group of international medical workers.

Until the Sky Falls Quiet follows their journey into a world shaped by bombardment, displacement and scarcity — and the resilience and humanity they witnessed while working in overwhelmed hospitals.

This is a deeply human story. One that explores the limits of medicine and empathy, and the impossible choices faced in a collapsing health system.

Rather than a traditional cinema release, this film is being shared through community screenings, creating space to reflect, sit with the story and connect with others.

Following the screening, stay for a Q&A and complimentary afternoon tea.

Saturday, May 16
3pm – 6pm
51 Elizabeth Street, Bayswater

🎟 Tickets from $5
✨ All proceeds support Olive Kids

Our April issue of Templer Talk is now out.

This month’s issue brings together reflections, community stories and updates from across our Templer community — including a thoughtful piece on encouragement, highlights from World Day of Prayer and a snapshot of the work underway to support care, connection and belonging.

There’s also a beautiful personal story from Eseosa, sharing her experience of home and culture in Nigeria, along with community news, upcoming services and what’s on.

Take a moment to read and catch up on what’s been happening.
