Last night, the Labor party's rescission motion was defeated. The Liberal Councillors voted against the rescission motion, as we support what was originally proposed. There should be a council poll at the next council elections to let the people decide.

Our party position is that we support the council poll to allow the people to indicate whether or not they would like the LGA name to change, and if yes, they can indicate their name preference. We are not as a party for or against the name change. Some Liberal councillors support a name change, and some do not. That is why we are supporting a council poll to let the people decide.

Mike Baird annouces $400M to both Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals. This is in combination with a new police station in Mount Druitt, and a new Mega park which will be as big as Centennial park, shows that Blacktown and Mount Druitt have a much better deal under the Liberals. In 16 years Labor short changed the people of western Sydney. Do not let them get away with it again!
