This week we farewell another great firefighter from Teralba, Nick, after 9 years of dedicated service at Station 458.

Over the years, Nick has earned the respect of his fellow firefighters through his leadership, commitment, and willingness to always lend a hand. He’s been an important part of our station and will be greatly missed.

While we’re sad to see him go, we’re incredibly proud to see him take the next step in his firefighting journey as a permanent firefighter.

On behalf of everyone at Teralba, thank you for your service, your loyalty, and the friendships you’ve built along the way. We wish you nothing but success and happiness in this new adventure.

Once a part of the 458 family, always a part of the 458 family.

After 14 years of dedicated service at 458 Station, we say farewell to Pete as he begins his well-earned retirement from fire rescue

Pete has been much more than a firefighter—he’s been a mentor, a leader, and a mate. The crew has always looked to him for his guidance, knowledge, and steady leadership. His experience and willingness to help others have made a lasting impact on everyone who has had the privilege of working alongside him.

Beyond the job, Pete has become a great friend to many, and his presence around the station will be greatly missed. His commitment, professionalism, and sense of humour have helped shape the culture of our crew and leave behind a legacy that won’t be forgotten.

Thank you, Pete, for your 14 years of outstanding service, friendship, and leadership. Wishing you all the very best in retirement—you’ve certainly earned it.

You’ll always be a legend of a bloke, and you’ll always be part of the 458 family.

🚨Vehicle Fire – George Street, Marmong Point🚨

Just after 6:00 pm tonight, Pump 458 responded to reports of a vehicle fire on George Street, Marmong Point.

Upon arrival, crews found one vehicle well alight. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby bushland.

The scene was made safe, and no further fire spread occurred.
