🏡 around 213 apartments and townhouses with Red and Co Developments Pty Ltd.

In Mango Hill we're unlocking:
🏠 56 apartments eligible for affordable housing with Coast2Bay
🏠 61 townhouses with Azure Development Group.

Queensland's first nightlife action plan supporting grassroots venues and local artists 🎶

We're reinvigorating the state's nightlife for the 2032 Games and beyond through the state's first Nightlife Economy Action Plan.

The plan sets the state's long-term vision to grow safer, more vibrant entertainment precincts, support local venues and artists, and strengthen the state's reputation as Australia's lifestyle and events capital. Key initiatives include:

🎸 a new special event trading framework to help local venues better share in economic opportunities generated by major events
🎸 strengthening services within Safe Night Precincts
🎸 removing red tape for venues and modernising conditions for extended trading hours
🎸 creating more opportunities for Queensland musicians and venues through incentives and growth pathway programs, and more.

We're delivering better services through a stronger economy with a revitalised nightlife as Queensland prepares to welcome the world for 2032 and beyond.

New Victims Advocate Service unveiled

We're creating a one-stop-shop to ensure Queenslanders impacted by crime receive targeted, comprehensive support throughout the entire justice process through a new Victims Advocate Service.

The new service, developed in consultation with victims and stakeholders, will launch in late 2026 and will be the first of its kind, delivering tailored support for victims of crime, including a central online hub and 24/7 call centre.

It's part of our plan to make Queensland safer with stronger laws and more support for victims of crime.

Jack’s Law saving lives across Queensland🛡️

We're marking one year since Jack’s Law was made permanent and expanded, giving police the ability to wand for weapons in all public places across Queensland.

These measures mean officers can use handheld metal detectors to scan for deadly weapons before they can be used and intervene before lives are changed forever.

Over the past 12 months:
✅ more than 1,300 dangerous weapons have been seized
✅ more than 170,000 people have been scanned
✅ more than 2,600 people have been charged with more than 5,100 offences.

We’re making Queensland safer through stronger laws and more police equipped with the tools they need to help prevent violent crime before it happens.
