Bunbury’s getting the soup on to support grass roots creativity
Bunbury Neighbourhood Soup is a dinner that celebrates and supports creative projects in Bunbury. You will hear three presentations ranging from art, urban agriculture, social justice, social entrepreneurs, education, technology and anything that may benefit the Greater Bunbury community. Each presenter has four minutes to share their
idea and then field four questions from the attendees. We then eat, chat and vote on the project that we are going to support. At the end of the evening we count the voting tokens and whoever has the most votes takes home the money from the door. This is a great way for the community to make a contribution to the City of Bunbury whilst having a say in the forces that shape it. It is a way for community members to feel empowered and a way to show support for those people working to make Bunbury a better place to live. Coming to your first dinner? Here’s how it works:
•The soup is held at various venues once a month on a week night from 5.30pm until 8.30pm
• Greater Bunbury residents and supporters must book tickets online via eventbrite
• Attendees donate $10 cash at the door
• Four people present their proposal to the group (anything from fixing a fence to starting a small business)
• Winners come back to a future SOUP dinner to tell us about how the project went
