💙 Celebrating Sue 💙

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone as we farewelled our much-loved Business Manager, Sue Taylor – affectionately known to many as Mumma Sue.

As the foundation Business Manager of our school, Sue has been at the heart of our journey for nearly 11 years. Her dedication, wisdom, kindness and unwavering support have helped shape the school we know and love today.

After an outstanding 30 years with the Queensland Department of Education, Sue is beginning a well-deserved retirement. While we'll miss her friendly smile, calming presence and ability to make everyone feel welcome, we are so grateful for the lasting impact she has had on our staff, students and families.

Thank you, Sue, for your years of service, your care for our community and the legacy you've created. We wish you every happiness in this exciting new chapter—you've certainly earned it! 💐

What a fantastic day at the Senior Athletics Carnival! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We saw some incredible running, jumping and throwing from our senior students.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the 100m and 200m events for 11-year-old boys and girls (born in 2015) will be held tomorrow during break times.

As we get ready for our Junior Athletics Carnival tomorrow, don't forget:
🎨 Chappy and her team will be offering coloured hair spray and coloured zinc for a gold coin donation.
🌭 The P&C will be running a sausage sizzle at the canteen.
😎 Most of all - hope for the best weather 🤞

Thank you to our PE team, Mr Nish and Miss K for the organisation around these events and many thanks to all staff who pitch in when it counts. We can't wait for another great day of athletics, fun and school spirit!

Our talented students have been working hard preparing solos and small ensemble performances, and we can't wait to celebrate their achievements with you.

A reminder that school photos will be taken on Thursday 16 July, with a catch-up day on Friday 17 July for absent students.

Years 4 - 6 students will be required to wear the formal uniform.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Athletics Carnival Update🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We're looking forward to two exciting days of participation, teamwork and house spirit! 💙💛❤️💚

📅 Senior Carnival: Wednesday 24 June
📅 Junior Carnival: Thursday 25 June

Please note that while we've enjoyed a couple of sunny days, our oval is still holding significant moisture from recent rainfall. Ground conditions will be monitored closely throughout the carnivals.

Please be aware that the following may occur:
⚠️ If track areas become unsafe, track events may be postponed to Week 1 of Term 3, while field events continue as scheduled.

⚠️ If rain falls overnight, the carnival may need to be postponed until Week 1 of Term 3. Any changes will be communicated as soon as possible.
