“Know yourself, back yourself, be yourself, and look after yourself”
Across the country, online and in person, it was great to see the DHA workforce come together to celebrate this year's International Women's Day.
The theme, 'Balance the Scales', is a call to action – to address structural inequalities that women face every day.
From normalising financial literacy in women – “A man is not a financial plan” – to empowering the next generation through leadership, our DHA board speakers, Brigadier Leigh Wilton and G*i Brodtmann shared valuable insights into what can, and should, be done to address gender inequality and discrimination within society.
This year’s International Women’s Day ultimately challenges us all to consider our roles in building a more equal and equitable world.
