Today is National Public Education Day — a time to celebrate the incredible impact schools like ours have on students and communities every single day.

Public education brings together children and young people from a range of diverse backgrounds and builds a cohesive community that works as one to create equity, hope, and opportunity.

It provides lifelong benefits to students through access to education, improved health, wellbeing and employment.

That’s something to celebrate! .

Many of Australia’s most prominent people credit their public education with giving them the best start in life.

In the new documentary series Class Acts, well-known Australians share stories that illustrate the power of public education.

At Caringbah Public School, we believe every student deserves the best chance to learn and grow. Our behaviour curriculum supports all students by explicitly teaching the positive behaviours we expect, setting high expectations for everyone.

By working together with families, we create a respectful and safe environment where all students can thrive. We’re committed to helping students build skills like respect, responsibility, and resilience, so they can succeed both in school and life.

We’ve recently focused on keeping each other safe on the playground through respectful play and using kind voices, helping everyone feel included and supported.
