In a wealthy country like Australia, no one should have to struggle just to keep a roof over their head or food on the table. Yet for increasing numbers of Victorians, that's a daily reality.

We want to turn this around, and at the centre of our plan to do that is a Universal Living Guarantee - a set of economic and social supports at all stages of life to ensure everyone, not matter their circumstances, has what they need to live comfortably.

Three sleeps to go until our anti-fascist music festival fundraiser - Saturday 5th September from 7pm at The Thornbury Theatre. Headlined by Montaigne, with support from locals Bec Sykes, TNS, and The Ironbark Brothers, with hosts Jordan van den Lamb (purplepingers) and Jasmine Duff.

Tickets via Moshtix (link in comments). All proceeds go towards the Victorian Socialists state election campaign.

It was a busy night last night with local branch meetings taking place across Melbourne's Northern Metro region. A lot of new faces, and a lot of energy as we prepare to ramp up our state election campaign across Melbourne and Victoria in the coming weeks.

Calling all VS members and supporters in the Western Metro region. Join us this Sunday 6th September, 12pm meeting at Paine Reserve on Mason St in Newport for an afternoon of doorknocking in support of our candidates for Williamstown (Oskar Martin) and Point Cook (Taylor Laine).
