Hot conditions in combination with strong and gusty winds will result in extreme fire danger over the Greater Sydney, Greater Hunter, Illawarra/Shoalhaven and the Upper Central West Plains fire weather districts on Wednesday. West to northwesterly winds will shift west to southwesterly across the west and south during the day. Thunderstorms are possible with strong and potentially damaging wind gusts.
These are dangerous fire conditions. People in the following Local Government Areas are advised to take action now;
π§ Greater Hunter - Cessnock; Dungog; Lake Macquarie; Maitland; Muswellbrook; Newcastle; Port Stephens; Singleton; Upper Hunter
π§ Greater Sydney - The Hills; Blacktown; Blue Mountains; Burwood; Camden; Campbelltown; Canada Bay; Fairfield; Hawkesbury; Hornsby; Hunters Hill; Kogarah; Ku-ring-gai; Lane Cove; Liverpool; Mosman; North Sydney; Parramatta; Penrith; Randwick; Ryde; Strathfield; Sutherland; Sydney; Waverley; Willoughby; Woollahra; Bayside; Canterbury-Bankstown; Central Coast; Cumberland; Georges River; Inner West; Northern Beaches

Check your bush fire plan and ensure that your property is fire ready. If a fire starts, take immediate action. If you and your property are not prepared to the highest level, go to a safer location well before the fire impacts. Reconsider travel through bush fire risk areas tomorrow.
