Australia first. No foreign interest. No billionaire buddy club. It’s that simple. The policies for People First Party, and into the future with Australian People’s Party, are and will be Australia first. Gerard’s stance on that is as strong and unwavering as his stance on Covid.

This is Queensland. This is our backyard. This our home. It’s becoming clearer everyday that we are the only party that is truly Australia first. To make sure people with big pockets and foreign friends don’t give our land and tropical islands away we need your help. It’s time to sign up as member or as a volunteer, hopefully both, to help build People First Party to what it needs to give you representation in Canberra. There has been so much happening within the Party and it’s about to get busier. Along with our branches building, being at local Shows and markets, holding branch meetings and information sessions, Gerard has also been working on achieving something many have been asking for right from the start. Minor party mergers. His discussions with Australian Citizen’s Party have culminated in an agreement to merge the two parties. The change you will notice is more people doing more things to get more people aware that we are a minor party with great policies that deserve your number 1 vote on your ballot come election day.

The changes don’t stop there though. Given the court proceedings regarding the name People First, the decision has been made and the process has commenced for our name to change to Australian Peoples Party. Over the coming months this will be start to be seen across our pages and website. The name is changing, we are merging, but our policies are the same.

We really do believe that these changes keep us moving in the right direction, to build and to show Australians we have the solutions to move Australia in a better direction. Australian Citizen’s Party want to join us, maybe it’s time you do to pfp.org.au/membership.

People First Party believes in supporting parents to raise their children and making the choices they need for their families. FIFO workers, shift workers and part-time workers should not be disadvantaged with their care arrangements, and for some families, the subsidy could support a parent to stay at home and raise their own children.

There are many reasons mums and dads can’t or don’t want to access child care. People First values families and your choice.

High royalties sound great, but on top of existing company tax 25% royalties would cripple our resource industry leading to lost jobs and far less taxes overall.

You will keep more of your money when you vote for People First Party and we slash income tax for all Australians, allow income splitting and make superannuation voluntary. Individuals who are financially strong make stronger families, stronger communities and a stronger Australia.

If you get to keep more of your money you worked hard for by reducing taxes and voluntary super, you will be able to look after you families and your own communities far better than Canberra and it will directly stimulate and grow Australia’s economy.

Lifting the tax-free threshold to $45000 means you will keep approx $4000 more in your pocket. And when you income split, that means families will be able to earn up to $90000 tax free. Making Super voluntary means you can work at paying off your home or saving for that deposit quicker now when you need it.

If you needed to hear it from a man who has been in a major party and got told to shut up because ministers are heavily influenced by vested interests, who has been in Canberra and seen many of the people currently keeping seats warm operate, and has experienced first hand how the bureaucrats take advantage, here is his take on why it’s so important to have representation from a party like People First Party.

This isn’t just about Gerard. We need good people who understand and see the value in People First policies, stand for Australian values and Australian interests as candidates, members and supporters to bring the change, accountability and know-how this country desperately needs.

Your health, savings and wages (and the list goes on) are controlled by people you didn’t vote for. And even those that are elected members of parliament are only serving themselves and their own, and foreign, interests. People First Party has the policies that put you first.

We hear it every where we go. You love Gerard. You’ve followed him since Covid. You think People First Party policies are great. You believe in them. You know they will make a difference to your life, your family, your community and Australia. You want him to be PM. But you just don’t think we have the numbers to make an impact and you really want to make sure there is a change in government at the next election. You don’t want to mess this up. So you’re just going to put another party first.

You’re right that it would be a miracle if People First Party became a major party at the next election. It would probably be one of the biggest upsets in political history if Gerard became Prime Minister at the next election. But that’s not always the goal. Good representation matters. Good policies matter. Holding parties to account matters. All parties need opposition. Even the one everyone votes for. By putting us first and choosing who you would next prefer after that, is not a wasted vote. It sends a message. It lets other parties know what matters to you. It lets us know you support what we are doing and what we are bringing to the table and it helps us to keep going, to keep building, to keep moving forward. We know how much Australia needs change. We want it too. And you can get that with People First candidates in the lower house and in the Senate alongside other representatives from other parties you might put second. Don’t rule us out because you think we won’t win the majority vote, vote for us first because we represent your values and we have the solutions you want for the Australia you want to live in.
