STATEMENT REGARDING GLENN DRUERY

Unsurprisingly, Glenn Druery talks copious amounts of s**t.

Glenn Druery did not set up the Restore Democracy Sack Dan Andrews Party, and has had little to f**k all involvement aside from me telling him it was in the works.

The Restore Democracy Sack Dan Andrews Party was not set up to "game the system," nor was it "established by an election fixer."

We have not been set up to feed votes back to Labor, and I have stated publicly that if our GVTs result in our preferences getting a Labor candidate elected in any region, I will coward punch myself on a joint Discernable/ 6 News Australia live stream.

My public record speaks for itself on matters of political corruption and the misuse of public funds, and not only do I welcome Mr Burson's referral of this matter to IBAC, I will more than happily co-operate with it and provide evidence, as I have with Operation Watts and the current investigation into whether former Treasurer John Lenders, former Police Minister Lisa Neville, and former Tourism Minister John Eren instructed their staff to commit perjury.

If voters don't like me, that is fine, and I would encourage them to support other candidates from crossbench parties, such as Chris Burson from the Angry Victorians Party, whose signed campaign corflute I am proudly displaying in the front window of my business.

Both Labor and the Coalition have had held majorities in the Legislative Council and have had the ability to abolish the Group Voting Ticket, but have failed to do so as its introduction reduced the rate of informal votes. GVT preference flows are published before the election and freely available to voters, but voters are also able to number at least 5 boxes below the line from 1 to 5 if they want to control where their preferences go.

I will freely admit that I have long admired Mr Druery for ensuring neither Labor or the Coalition have the balance of power in the upper house, and we have a mutual interest in this regard, and when setting up the party I contacted Glenn to let him know it was in the works.

The registration of the Restore Democracy Sack Dan Andrews with the VEC was a victory in itself. The Restore Democracy part of our name is a pointed message aimed squarely at Victorian Labor as it has usurped the voting rights of members on all party matters, allowing the Premier and his allies to freely terminate the careers of factional enemies with impunity, and install people loyal to he and his allies.

That our party has been able to run in all regions and direct preferences via our Group Voting Tickets to the minor party/parties most likely to win in each region when we are excluded from the count is an added bonus as we should hopefully see a larger, more diverse crossbench in the next parliament, where no one party holds the balance of power, ensuring Labor will have to negotiate to pass bills.

We are open about where our preferences go in the upper house - when voting 1 above the line for Sack Dan Andrews Restore Democracy in Western Victoria Region, our Group Voting Ticket will see preferences distributed as follows:

DHJP
SFF (1st candidate)
ALP (3rd candidate)
AVP
DLP
LDP
Freedom
FFV
PHON
SAP
UAP
ND
HAP
TM
IND
CAP
LCV
Reason
LIB (1st coalition candidate)
ALP (4th candidate)
NAT (5th coalition candidate)
ALP (2nd candidate)
LIB (2nd coalition candidate)
ALP (1st candidate)
NAT (3rd coalition candidate)
LIB (4th coalition candidate)
SFF (2nd candidate)
AJP
VS
GRN

The preference flows from our Group Voting Ticket favour the crossbench, not the major parties, and this is consistent with the public positions I have taken and statements I have made, but if voters disagree with our GVT, they can simply vote below the line and control where their preferences go by numbering at least five boxes from 1 to 5.

For the record, I chose to vote below the line, and my upper house ballot looked as follows:

1 - Tosh-Jake Finnigan (Sack Dan Andrews)
2 - Joe McCracken (Lib #2)
3 - Chris Burson (AVP #1)
4 - Emma Sinclair (Reason #1)
5 - Julia McGrath (LDP #1)
6 - Stuart Grimley (DHJP #1)

If you've got any further queries, feel free to drop a line and I'll do my best to get back to them as soon as possible - alternatively, come on down to the Mac Hotel in Mortlake for the Western Victoria Region candidates forum from 6:30pm on Friday night and ask me in person.

Kind regards,

Tosh-Jake Finnigan
