⚠️All members’ awards expire on 31 December 2026.

To remain proficient, everyone must book into and complete a Skills Maintenance (requalification) session before this date.

Before attending Skills Maintenance, you must also be a financial member.

IN MEMORY OF PHIL HATT 🕊️

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Phil Hatt.

Phil was a valued Club member and a dedicated Board Member, serving as Director of Finance from 2018 to 2022.

Phil's funeral service will be held on Friday, 11 September at 10:00 am at Fremantle Crematorium.

Our thoughts are with Phil's family and loved ones during this difficult time. We send our deepest condolences, love and warmest wishes from everyone at the Club.

May Phil rest in peace 💙🧡

🚨 BRONZE MEDALLION COURSES ARE BACK FOR 2026/27 🌊🛟

Ready to become a Surf Life Saver?

This season, we're offering two ways to complete your Bronze Medallion, giving members more flexibility than ever before.

🔹 Standard Bronze Medallion Course
Our popular standard bronze program is perfect for those who prefer to learn progressively over several weeks, combining weeknight and weekend sessions while building confidence and skills in the surf.

🔹 NEW Intensive Bronze Medallion Course
Following member feedback from last season and recognising the training commitments of our volunteer trainers, we're introducing a new one-week intensive Bronze Medallion course during the summer school holidays. This will replace our traditional January to March Bronze course, providing a more flexible option for those wanting to complete their qualification in a dedicated week of practical, hands-on training.

The Bronze Medallion is the foundation of surf lifesaving and equips you with the skills and knowledge to patrol our beaches, perform rescues, respond to emergencies, and become part of an incredible volunteer team.

Prerequisites
✅ Financial member of Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club
✅ Minimum 15 years of age on or before the final assessment
✅ Swim 400 metres unaided in 9 minutes or less

Our club relies on volunteers to deliver everything we do.

No experience is necessary, just a willingness to get involved, learn and help make our club even stronger.

📝 Nominations must be submitted via the official nomination form.
📋 Following the close of nominations, nominations will be assessed, and Club Officers will be appointed by the relevant Committee or Board, depending on the role.
⏰ Nominations close at 5:00pm on Monday, 17 August.

When completing the form, you'll first be asked to select the relevant portfolio. The available Club Officer roles within that portfolio will then appear in the drop-down list below. Once you've selected the role you're interested in, you'll be provided with the relevant duty statement outlining the purpose, responsibilities and expectations of the position.

The nomination form also gives you the option to request that one of our Club Directors contacts you to discuss a role before you nominate, or you can submit your nomination directly through the form if you're ready to apply.

⚡️Active Members (18+) can join patrols, gain lifesaving awards, and participate in surf sports.
⚡️Woodside Nippers Program offers fun, fitness, and surf safety for kids every Sunday morning.
⚡️Youth Program gives the opportunity to gain lifesaving awards, fitness on Sunday mornings, and plenty of social activities throughout the season.
