Happy looks good on you! ☀️

🌸 Are you dreaming of growing your own beautiful flowers?

I’m so excited to share my hand collected seeds with you, carefully chosen from some of my favourite blooms here at Valley View Flowers 🌸

Pollinated by our friendly little family of bees 🐝 and saved so you can experience the magic of growing your own flowers at home.

There’s something so special about planting a tiny seed, watching it grow and eventually picking your very own armful of flowers to simply enjoy 💐

You don’t need a big garden, just a little space, some sunshine, water and a love of flowers ☀️ 🌸

✨ Soon I’ll be sharing these little pieces of Valley View with you!

Spreading happiness, seed by seed 🌱✨

I can’t believe it’s August already! 🌿 ☀️

The days are flying by, and somehow there never seem to be enough hours. Every afternoon I’ve planned to head out to the flower farm, something else has come up.

I have managed to sow my second succession of seedlings, mulching is still happening, the watering system still needs some tweaking, I’ve got a new fertilising idea waiting to be built and my dahlia seeds are sitting there ready to go. I’m just deciding the best time to start them with the next few weeks full of travelling for my boys’ sport.

It’s all part of the juggling act. The flowers might not always get my full attention, but they’ll always be worth the wait.

Before we know it, the farm will be bursting with colour again, and I honestly can’t wait. 🌸

Who’s as excited for spring as I am? 🙋🏼‍♀️

This photo takes me back to 2024, my best flower season to date. Looking at it now reminds me that every beautiful season starts long before the flowers appear.

Since then, there have been challenges. Tough seasons on the farm, setbacks, and more than a few injuries that have slowed me down. But if growing flowers has taught me anything, it’s that growth isn’t always visible. The strongest roots are often formed during the hardest seasons.

So as another season begins to nea, I’m choosing hope. I’m hoping the weather is kind to the farm, the flowers thrive, and all the lessons from the past few years come together. Maybe this will be a cracker of a season! 🌱🌸

Whatever you’re growing, whether it’s flowers, a dream, or a new chapter in life, don’t give up just because you can’t see the blooms yet. Keep planting, keep showing up, and trust the process.

The blooms will come ✨☀️🌸💜🌱

I can’t wait... but in the meantime, it’s all about putting in the work behind the scenes. 🌱✨

The dahlia and zinnia rows are getting a good feed with plenty of mulch and some good old cow 💩 because beautiful blooms start with healthy soil.

I’ve also planted out my first succession of snapdragons, stock, feverfew and larkspur seedlings. 🌸

And take two for the peonies... 🤞 After someone accidentally ran over my first lot with the bobcat and a levelling bar, I was back to square one. 😱 Here’s hoping these beauties thrive this time around!

It really can be! 🌱🌸

If you’ve ever thought about growing your own, take this as your sign to start!!! ✨

You don’t need a big garden or years of experience, just one seed, one pot, and a little patience. Watching something you’ve nurtured burst into bloom is a kind of magic that never gets old. It’s grounding, joyful, and a beautiful reminder that the best things in life take time 💜

Looking forward to this feeling again!
Right now we’re deep in the heart of winter, and this morning the farm was covered in a beautiful, crisp frost. ❄️

The main garden may be sleeping, but beneath the cold, new life is quietly preparing to bloom. Every frosty morning is one step closer to a farm full of flowers once again 🌱🌿🌸💜

A summer flower defying the season. I have no idea what colour she’ll be, but I can’t wait to find out. Nature always has a way of surprising us. 🌸❄️
