Exciting news for the City of Casey! 📰 📣

For residents to the south of Casey, this is particularly welcome; a new VICSES unit coming to Devon Meadows means even faster, more local emergency response for your community.

Our Cranbourne volunteers have and will proudly continue to serve these growing areas, and we’re thrilled to see dedicated support on the way. A fantastic step forward for our region and we look forward to helping establish the unit anyway we can! 🧡

This WOW Day, we are taking orange to a whole new level! 🧡

Happy Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW Day) from Cranbourne SES! Today is a national day of thanks dedicated to the incredible SES volunteers who provide vital emergency support to communities across Australia, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Whether it's storm damage, road accidents, floods or search and rescue, we are always ready to respond.

A huge thank you to not only our amazing Cranbourne members, but SES members around Australia who generously volunteer their time to keep our community safe. We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

🧡 Happy National Volunteers Week! 🧡

This week (18–24 May), Australia comes together to celebrate the millions of people who give their time and skills to serve their communities and we are incredibly proud of ours here at Cranbourne SES.

Our volunteers show up in the middle of storms, in the early hours of the morning, and whenever their community needs them most. They give not because they have to, but because they believe in something bigger than themselves.

But we also want to take a moment to recognise every volunteer across our community. From the CFA (Country Fire Authority) and SARDA-Search & Rescue Dogs Australia Inc volunteers, to the Australian Red Cross, local sporting clubs, and every other organisation whose people give selflessly every single day. You are all extraordinary.

A special thank you also to the wonderful volunteers at Every One Cafe, a community café at the Amstel Club that trains people living with disability and are constantly raising money for Cranbourne SES. Their support has truly been overwhelming and we could not be more grateful.

This year's theme is Your Year to Volunteer and if you've ever thought about joining Cranbourne SES or any volunteer organisation, there's never been a better time.

Thank you to every volunteer out there. What you do matters more than words can say. 💛

If you missed us last week, here's your second shot! Cranbourne SES is back at Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre today and we'd love to have a chat.

We're recruiting volunteers with daytime availability, specifically Monday to Friday, 5am –7pm. No experience necessary, full training provided.

This Mother's Day, we want to celebrate every mum in our community and beyond. 🧡

Behind every strong community are mums who helped build it. Through the early mornings, the long days, and the moments nobody sees, their love and dedication shape everything around them.

To the mums in our unit who suit up in orange alongside us, and to every mum in our community, we are truly grateful for everything you do.

We're excited to share that Cranbourne SES is featuring on one of the Local Matters jars at Grill'd for the entire month of May! Every time you grab a burger, you'll receive a token and if you drop it in our jar, you'll be helping us get funding to continue serving and protecting our community. We're setting up an information stand to connect with people who have daytime availability (Mon–Fri, 5am–7pm) and might be interested in joining the team. Come say hello and find out what SES life is really about.

If your weekdays are free, you might be exactly who we need!

Cranbourne SES is on the lookout for volunteers with daytime availability, Monday to Friday, between 5am and 7pm. No experience needed, full training provided, and you'll be making a real difference right here in Cranbourne. Please note, members are required to meet a minimum fitness standard.

On Saturday, Cranbourne SES joined the community at Anzac Day services in Cranbourne and at Settlers Run Golf & Country Club to honour the service and sacrifice of all those who have worn the uniform and those who gave their lives in doing so. We had the privilege of marching alongside veterans, emergency services, and community members in remembrance of all who have served.

The spirit of service was on display throughout the day, from our own Paul’s solemn rendition of the Last Post on bugle, to our members responding to requests for assistance immediately after the services. We are proud to serve the nation our Anzacs fought and died for.
