Our Book Fair starts tomorrow and will continue throughout next week as we celebrate Book Week!

A flyer will be sent home with students today with information about pre-payment, allowing children to visit the Book Fair and choose their own books even if a parent or carer is unable to attend.

We can’t wait to see our students get excited about books and reading! 📖✨

Welcome back to Term 4! 💙

We’ve had a great start to our final term of 2026! Monday’s wet weather meant some indoor fun, with students enjoying card games and time together.

Today, our Prep–Year 2 students loved the Bravehearts Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show, learning important personal safety messages in a fun and engaging way.

Back in the classroom, our students have settled in beautifully and are already showing their enthusiasm for learning, growing and making the most of their final term for the year.

We’re looking forward to a wonderful Term 4 at Darra State School!

Young Authors in the Making! 📚📚

A few of our students recently attended a writing workshop where they planned, polished and completed their very own short stories.

The best part? Their stories were published in a book alongside the work of other young writers!

Such a fantastic experience and a wonderful achievement.

Look at the fun our Year 5 students had at Centenary State High School for Science Day!

They had the chance to get hands-on with a range of exciting experiments, while learning, exploring and discovering science in action.

There were plenty of smiles, curious minds and lots of fun along the way!

Our Senior Choir had a fantastic time at SingFest 2026!

They had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate, perform and sing alongside students from other schools. We’re so proud of the way they represented Darra State School!

Darra State school has lots of lunchtime clubs, and Gardening with Mrs Gauci is one of the children's favourites.

Getting to eat hot chips after all of the hard work probably helps!😋😋 🥔🥔🍟🍟
