Love All Things Mechanical? Help Keep Our Fleet Response-Ready!

SES Dartmoor unit is looking for a mechanically minded volunteer to help keep our vehicles and trailers ready to roll when the community needs us.

This role focuses on operational readiness, helping keep an eye on our fleet, coordinating routine maintenance, and making sure our vehicles and trailers are in good condition and ready for response. You don’t need to be a qualified mechanic, just someone practical, organised, and interested in how things work.

It’s a great way to support the unit behind the scenes while playing an important role in our emergency response capability. Training and support will be provided.

Every role in our unit helps us support the community, but this one helps keep us moving!

Our VICSES members have been proudly supporting our incredible fire agency partners over the past week as devastating fires continue across parts of the state.

Support roles include Incident Management Team roles at local, regional, and state control centres, staging area and ground support, lighting, and the transport of interstate fire agency personnel to support our Victorian crews.

A special shout-out to our dual SES/CFA members who have also deployed on the front line in a CFA capacity to protect their communities.

It’s times like these that truly showcase the camaraderie and resilience of our emergency services and our community.
