POWERWING Pty Ltd, trading as “Accelerated Services” was established in October 2007 as a private company incorporating most aspects of property finishes, improvements and/or renovations, be them old or new, for residential or commercial properties. Drawing on their many years of experience managing and developing other companies in the building and administration sectors around D
arwin, the directors of POWERWING Pty Ltd have combined their knowledge and experiences to form Accelerated Services, to provide a competent and reliable service for all their clients needs, be them large or small. Accelerated Services is currently located at Shed 38 Coconut Grove industrial village. On site is an equipped workshop with all tools required for the assembly of kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, vanity units and the like. Accelerated services also has a small equipped fleet of vehicles to aid in the rapid undertaking of all works associated with buildings from residential to the commercial. Included in these vehicles is a 5.25 ton dual cab flatbed truck, 2 ex- Telstra fully tool boxed trade vehicles, a Hilux SR5 Dual cab, flatbed trailer & quad bike (for road reserve maintenance). Accelerated services has a broad knowledge base and a wide range of skills, from kitchens & cabinets, new fit outs and replacements, laminate and 2 PAK finishes and bench tops including stone, laminate and timber. Tiling supply and lay of floor and walls incl. tiled skirting and waterproofing. Painting of exterior and interior surfaces etc. Carpentry & joinery i.e. External and internal doors (painted or stained), skirting (timber and tiled), wardrobes, vanity units etc. Gyprocking and more. What stands out at Accelerated services is the ability to expand its knowledge and skills base to incorporate almost any scope of works from all aspects of building refurbishments and improvements to Landscaping, shade sails, balustrading , maintenance of road reserves, verges & irrigation etc. Accelerated Services is more than willing and able to undertake most tasks and projects & expand to incorporate said projects, or to research and/or source licensed and/or capable companies and sub-contractors to undertake almost any scope of works as required. Accelerated Services has over the years formed strong relationships with other local tradesmen and businesses, who we can call upon when required, in all aspects of the renovation fields i.e. electricians, plumbers, painters, tilers, Gyprockers, cabinet & wardrobe manufacturing, locksmiths, glaziers and pavers to name a few. These local businesses and tradesmen are an asset to Accelerated services and have on many occasions proven their high standards and quality of workmanship that is expected on Accelerated Services projects. Accelerated Services has grown from strength to strength in the past years, more than doubling its turnover annually since incorporation. From humble beginnings undertaking basic property maintenance for a long term rental company client, to recently completing a large refurbishment at the YMCA of Australia’s, Darwin at the end of 2010 taking 4.5 months to complete. Works undertaken on this site comprised of, but are not limited to, the main office block, the 86 accommodation units, and extensive works to the 8 communal toilet blocks, 2 bedroom accommodation flat and 3 bedroom house incorporating all the trades listed above. This refurbishment was funded by the NT government. During the course of this refurbishment Accelerated Services also worked alongside another large company in Sitzlers, who were themselves undertaking some minor works on site at the time. As each company had their own scope of works on site, we constantly worked together to ensure the best outcomes for each and to ensure the safety of the client, tenants, staff and workers on site at all times. This contract was undertaken with complete satisfaction of the client, and well within the contractual requirements. This also includes additional works paid for and undertaken by Accelerated services for no benefit or financial gain, other than to ensure the optimal outcome of the project and to the client. In addition Accelerated services was sub contracted by ISIS projects to undertake the landscaping and rehabilitation works and the shade screening to the nurses quarters stage 1 refurbishment @ Royal Darwin Hospital a total of 56 units in all. Accelerated has just completed a large rural project in the scope of the strip out & refit of 5 x Bungalows on behalf of OAMPS insurance @ Lake Bennett due to the flooding caused by cyclone Carlos in February 20011. The scope of works included the removal of all joinery, kitchens, vanities, wardrobes, flooring and all gyprock to a height of 1200mm throughout said bungalows and the supply, fabrication and reinstallation of the same. The project lasted 10 weeks and was completed with the utmost satisfaction of the clients & under the agreed timelines. Accelerated services vision is to expand their services to continue servicing the greater Darwin area and the remote areas of the Northern territory. In this vision Accelerated services hopes to expand and have the ability to employ apprentices, indigenous workers and trainees to further increase the Northern Territories skill base and work force & so to impart their knowledge onto future generations and to help build the Territory.
