🌭🍎 On Wednesday we enjoyed a special Breakfast Sausage Sizzle, with our wonderful sponsors, Side by Side Scaffolding & Rigging Services, joining us to lend a helping hand!

A big thank you to Side-by-Side Scaffolding for their generous donation of delicious fresh fruit and for spending the morning with our school community. It was fantastic to see them supporting our students and families. 😊

We would also like to thank our amazing staff and volunteers who helped make the event possible. Events like these help ensure our students start the day with full tummies, happy smiles, and are ready for a great day of learning at Kin Kora State School. ⭐📚

UPDATE: Lockdown is completed. Back to normal operation.

We are currently in a Yellow Lockdown as there was a fire to a vehicle down the road from the school. Staff and students are safe and we will finish the lockdown when advised by the Queensland Fire Department.

📚🌟 Celebrating Reading Success in 4C! 🌟📚

4C took some time to celebrate their incredible improvements in reading fluency during Semester 1! 🎉

The class recognised the fantastic growth they have made in their confidence, accuracy, and the number of words they can read in a minute. These achievements are a reflection of the hard work, persistence, and determination shown by every student.

Ms Shannon is incredibly proud of her wonderful humans and the effort they put into every fluency activity and reading lesson. She especially loves seeing so many students being brave and stepping outside their comfort zones to read in front of the class. 💙

Kin Kora State School is excited to announce our Term 2 Belonging and Engagement Celebration for students in Years 1 - 6 who have qualified for the Term 2 behaviour criteria!

📧 Parents and carers have received a notification on QParents if your child has been invited. The consent form is to be completed via QParents.

❗ If you don’t yet have access to QParents, please contact the school office to get set up. We will be using this platform for excursions and celebration events throughout the year.

🐑🐐🐥 Prep B had a wonderful time welcoming Eden Bann Cuties to Kin Kora State School yesterday! 🥰

Our students loved meeting and cuddling the adorable baby farm animals. There were plenty of smiles, gentle pats, and lots of excitement as the children got up close with their furry and feathered visitors. 🐰🐑🐥

Experiences like these help our students learn about animals while building confidence, curiosity, and caring attitudes. ❤️
