Come through to Darlington Activity Centre today to see what people-powered climate action looks and feels like. Banner painting will be happening throughout the day, but here’s what’s on the agenda:

11:30am-12:30pm

We have a list of brave activists imprisoned for protecting the things that matter. Come and write them a letter and we’ll pop them in the post for you

OR if you want to help people deal with tricky situations, learn co-counselling skills to help us help each other, at the Sustaining All Life workshop

12:30-2pm
Yummy Vegan (GF options) lunch by donation

2-3:30pm

A brief Non Violent Direct Action Training, covering all the basics, focusing on relevant skills and information for tomorrow’s rally

OR attend the Developing Organisers workshop and hone your skills to be a better activist and build power within your community

4-5:30pm

There’ll be a workshop going through different styles of resistance to the COP climate conference over the years, as well as resistance to other big bad conferences that have happened here and globally

6pm

Happening right now: brave members of the community are taking to the streets of Sydney!

A slow bike rally through the city this morning as a creative act of protest to call out failures of the UN Conference of Parties on climate. Even as the 30th COP is finishing up, it has still failed to provide any meaningful action or solutions to global climate collapse.

We need to stop business as usual now!
There’s no jobs or “green economy” on a dead planet 🌍

The Climate COP-Out activities kick off TODAY, with a basic bike repair working bee from 3pm. Come along to to get some new skills and fix up a bike for Friday’s slow bike rally, with help from ! There’s some bikes available to borrow, or bring your own.

After the hard work preparing for the , we’ll be screening a doco and the fantastic folk from will be providing some dinner. See you soon!

“LAST CALL!” is an exploration of the question of who decides our future. While civil society pushes for a rapid phase out of fossil fuels, a massive ramp-up of renewable energies and more investments in climate adaptation, many governments and corporations still actively hinder the transition towards a more climate-just society.

Join us from 6pm tomorrow at Addi Rd for dinner by , followed by the film screening and time to discuss with like-minded people.

What can we do when our politicians fail us over and over again? Our chance at a liveable future depends on us, organising ourselves, being active and resisting the ongoing decimation of our ecosystems.

This rally is one step of the way, putting words into practice, gaining experience on how we can work together.

Gather this Saturday 12pm at Town Hall Sydney, to publicly call out the COP30 talks, their inadequacy, and the failure of governments to act on climate.

We’ll be hearing from , .aus, , and other fantastic activists.

Join us to make noise and continue our journey to prepare for COP31 if it’s hosted in Adelaide.

If there’s only one day of Climate COP-Out that you can make, make it the Saturday. A jam packed day with our 12pm rally at Town Hall, plenty of workshops and meals to keep you going all the way through to the night’s live music.

We will be blessed to hear Sibby and the Bees for a sweet acoustic opening, before getting a dance in with , .ih, and .

Find us at Glebe Town Hall from 6:30pm!

Got a bike? Need a tune up? Learn how to repair your bike and get it on the road !
Come along this Thursday when we kick off Climate COP-out 2025. We'll be at Addi rd from 3pm.

We'll have plenty of tools and parts to use so our bikes are ready for the next morning's bike rally.

The good folk from bower_bikes will be there lending us a helping hand.

Next Sunday Climate COP-Out will be joined by four amazing speakers, to explore the role of Direct Action in social movement building.

Our speakers:
Lee Rhiannon
For six decades Lee has been involved in DA activities for peace, justice and environmental protection - actions to close Pine Gap, end Apartheid, women's rights and lots more.

Juliet Lamont
Juliet is a filmmaker and a frontline activist for all of our intersectional struggles for justice and equality - climate, human rights, native forests and Palestine. Direct action and resistance is love and self-care.

Margie Pestorious
Margie Pestorius has been a longtime anti militarist fiend. She was a creator of Wage Peace, which with a collaborative approach to their EarthCareNotWarfare vision, has disrupted Land Forces Military Expo three times.

Jet Hunt
Long time activist for Palestinian liberation and organiser with Wollongong Friends Of Palestine, which has built a strong, active network through picketing Bisalloy steel.

Currently very active in the Palestine movement, these speakers offer an opportunity to further connect our work for an intersectional struggle.

On in Glebe Town Hall at 11am, Sunday 23rd, the talk will run for 90 minutes. Throughout Climate Cop-OUT there will be shared meals by donation, so stick around afterwards to talk over lunch and build connections for the next action.

Signs and flags were made for our bike rally, coming up next Friday. While the world “leaders” hum and haw on how to make a profit from the climate collapse, we’ve put our thoughts in plain and honest sight.
