Leichhardt Police are seeking the community's assistance to identify the owner of three rings that were located outside the Balmain Post Office on 30 August 2026.

The rings are currently being held at Glebe Police Station.

If you believe these rings belong to you, or you know who the owner may be, please contact Glebe or Balmain Police Station and be prepared to provide a description of the property.

⛴️ FERRY SERVICE DISRUPTIONS – WEDNESDAY 2 SEPTEMBER

If you’re travelling by ferry from Balmain, Balmain East or Birchgrove tomorrow, please plan ahead.

Protected industrial action is expected to significantly disrupt Sydney Ferries services on Wednesday 2 September, including a five-hour work stoppage between 9am and 2pm. No Sydney Ferries services are expected to operate during this period, with services before and after the stoppage also likely to be affected.

Passengers should expect:
🚨 Service cancellations and delays
⏱️ Longer wait times
👥 Crowding at wharves and transport interchanges
🚍 Changes to connections with other public transport

These officers have chosen a career dedicated to serving, protecting and making a difference in our community. We’re proud to have them join our team and look forward to supporting them as they begin this important journey.

Over the coming months, you’ll see our newest officers getting to know the people, streets and communities that make up Annandale, Balmain, Balmain East, Birchgrove, Camperdown, Forest Lodge, Glebe, Leichhardt, Lilyfield and Rozelle.

Come along and enjoy a wonderful morning of live entertainment from the renowned NSW Police Band, while helping support the families of NSW Police Officers.
