🏕️ Community Spotlight: 1st Glengarry Scout Group! 🚴‍♂️

We love sharing what our fantastic local community groups are up to, and the 1st Glengarry Scout Group has an incredibly action-packed week ahead!

Here is a sneak peek at what the local youth are tackling over the next few days:

Cub Scouts are channeling their inner explorers and engineers by building their very own indoor caving system! 🔦

Scouts are hitting the trail after dark for an epic night bike ride from Traralgon to Morwell! 🌙🚲

If you have kids or teenagers looking to build confidence, learn outdoor skills, and make lifelong friends right here in Glengarry, here is when the different age groups meet:

Joey Scouts (Ages 5–8)

Cub Scouts (Ages 8–11)

📢 THE FUTURE OF GLENGARRY: Our 2026–2031 Town Plan is Live! 🌳
The Glengarry Community Association is proud to officially unveil our 5-Year Town Plan. This isn't just a document; it’s a strategic roadmap to make Glengarry safer, better connected, and more vibrant for every resident.

We have listened to your concerns, and our plan focuses on 11 Key Priorities to advocate for our town’s fair share of investment and infrastructure.

📍 Highlights of the Plan:
🚸 Road Safety: Advocating for a 40 km/h limit on Main Street and a formal pedestrian crossing on Crainbrook Road.

📮 Modern Services: Lobbying for Residential Mail Delivery and more frequent bus connections to Traralgon.

🎨 Community Pride: Bringing public art to our spaces and installing a new, high-quality "Welcome to Glengarry" entrance sign.

🏗️ Better Infrastructure: Upgrading street lighting, sealing the road behind the Kindergarten, and installing shade sails at Apex Park.

🚶 Walking & Drainage: Expanding our footpath network for universal access and auditing our drainage to fix "black spots."

Live in the Glen are thrilled to be hosting the Teeny Tiny Stevies at the Glengarry hall.
Adult friendly kids music played live on stage by real musicians? We got you!!
The ABC Kids TV favourites and ARIA winners will entertain the whole family with the most wholesome live gig there is.
Funny stuff for parents, heaps of engagement for kids, the old feel young, the young feel like grown-ups and everyone meets in the middle for a rocking good time.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for today’s ANZAC Day service and stayed for the morning tea.

The spirit of the Anzacs is alive and well in Glengarry, and it was heartening to see such a fantastic turnout to honor those who served. Our community tables were overflowing thanks to your incredible "Bring a Plate" donations!

We also want to extend a special shout-out to our local supporters who went above and beyond:

🎨 Glengarry Primary School – For the wonderful food contributions and the beautiful artwork created by the children that truly brought the hall to life.

🥐 The Glen Bakehouse – For the delicious treats that are always a local favorite.

🍳 The Mad Cow Grazing Co. – For your generosity donation.

🥚 Gippsland Free Range Eggs – For providing us the ingredients to keep the morning tea tradition going strong.

To the volunteers who helped set up the hall, the morning tea team, and every person who contributed a plate—this day wouldn't be the same without you.

We truly appreciate the amazing community support in honoring the spirit of the Anzacs.
