👏🔥 Congratulations to our very own firefighter Bec on attending the District 2 CFA Women's Challenge Camp this past weekend! 🔥👏

What a weekend it was! Building catapults to taking on the giant swing, and flying through the air on the flying fox, to engaging in some incredibly valuable leadership discussions, the camp offered a fantastic mix of challenge, teamwork, and professional development.

Participants had the opportunity to hear from a leadership panel featuring CFA and VicPol representatives, including ACFOs from Districts 2, 14, 18 and 20, along with the Deputy Chief Officer, who shared insights on leadership and the ongoing efforts to increase female representation in leadership roles across the organisation.

Most importantly, Bec returned with new knowledge, fresh perspectives, and a network of inspiring women from across the CFA. The friendships and connections formed over just a few days will no doubt continue to support and strengthen her firefighting journey for years to come.

We're incredibly proud to see our members taking every opportunity to learn, grow, and bring those experiences back to the brigade.

Sorry for the double post our team have been a bit distracted lately and forgot to post these earlier in the week!

Last Sunday our brigade along with our Fire Rescue Victoria colleagues attended the Bendigo Sustainability Festival at the Bendigo Botanic Gardens. 🏵️🌸💠

We had great engagement with a lot of the community, talking all things fire safety, smoke alarms, lithium battery fire risks, as well as, looking over the fire truck! (Who doesn't love a big red fire truck?) 🚒🧑‍🚒🔥
