𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐍𝐨𝐯 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡 - 𝐃𝐞𝐜 𝟑𝐫𝐝

For three weeks, we’ll be crafting a radically sustainable, bushfire resilient, off-grid building from natural and recycled materials — tyres, earth, straw, bottles, cans, and a lot of community spirit. You’ll also get experience with some conventional materials such as concrete and steel. It’s hands-on. It’s brains-on. It’s all hands on deck for this community build. And yes, you're gonna get a bit muddy! Once a week, we will take a day-off, to rest, relax, celebrate community, and to explore the local region - the Barossa which is renown as an amazing wine region.

Another successful Greenock Trivia night! Thanks to our quiz master Glenn and assistant Jasper for running a fantastic quiz - lots of fun and laughter in the room.

Thanks to everyone who attended for dressing according to the theme and for buying lots of raffle tickets and wine. Loved to see the wide range of colourful hats and beanies in the room.

Thanks to all our volunteers for their time and effort in putting this event together.

Finally thanks to all the generous businesses that donated prizes for the night. All money raised goes straight back into the Greenock community through our events and projects.

The 2026 Greenock Trivia night is officially sold out!! 🥳

The GVCA crew is excited to welcome you on the night and remind you to wear your best beanie or hat! There are prizes.

Here are some more details for you:

Doors at the Greenock Institute will open at 6.30pm, come in and find your table. The booking name will be on each table. Our volunteers will be around to help if you have any trouble.

Raffle tickets will be available to purchase - $2 each or 3 for $5. Please buy them before the Trivia commences.

The wine wall will be open for business from 7pm and we encourage you to make your purchases before the Trivia Night commences. Cost will be $25 for one bottle or $60 for 3 bottles.

You will be able to pay by credit card or cash for wine wall and raffle tickets.

First round of Trivia will commence at 7.30pm

Coin slide competition to win a bottle will happen during the break between Trivia Rounds. Cost is a gold coin donation.

Raffle will be drawn in the break between Trivia rounds.

Please bring your own food and drinks.

This year's theme is "Hats and Beanies". DON'T FORGET TO YOUR BEANIE OR HAT! There is a prize for best dressed table and best overall hat or beanie 🙂

Book Week Costume Collection

With Book Week just around the corner (22–28 August), we are excited to announce that our libraries will be offering a Book Week Costume Collection!

Families will be able to visit our Freeling, Kapunda and Hewett libraries to browse and borrow a range of pre-loved costumes, character outfits and dress-up accessories.

✨A collection will be available at Greenock Library on Wednesday 19 August from 5:00pm to 6:00pm

We encourage children to visit with their caregivers so they can choose a costume they are excited to wear and check the fit where possible.

Simply drop in during normal library opening hours to see what's available.

Please note that costumes are available on a first come, first served basis and holds cannot be placed.

We look forward to helping your favourite book characters come to life this book week!
