Disability Action Week recognises the contributions people with disability make to our families, workplaces and communities, and to Queensland’s economy.

This year’s theme — ‘Workforce Diversity: open up to opportunity’ celebrates the skills, talents and abilities that people with disability bring to workplaces.

The campaign highlights the benefits diverse workforces provide for businesses and encourages employers to put people with disability on their recruitment radar.

Tools, support and funding are available to help employers enjoy the opportunities offered by a diverse workforce.

By making their recruitment practices more accessible and inclusive, employers can expand their potential applicant population by tapping into the diverse talents of tens of thousands of skilled and qualified Queenslanders — and create a more equitable working environment for everyone.

A simple action can open a world of opportunity. Information about support for businesses preparing to hire people with disability and free promotional resources are available at qld.gov.au/daw for Disability Action Week 2022.

Get involved at a local level and attend one of these amazing events ❤️
