Cr David McLachlan David McLachlan Councillor for Hamilton Ward David was elected to represent the residents of Hamilton Ward in October 2006.

Prior to his election, David consulted to numerous businesses on issues management, media management and government relations. Hamilton Ward suburbs include Hamilton, Clayfield, Hendra, Ascot, Albion, Kalinga, Eagle Farm, Pinkenba, and parts of Newstead, Wooloowin and Bowen Hills. David has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Political Science), trained as a journalist and early in his career worked as

a radio and television reporter. He later worked as a political consultant including advising the Minister for Finance. Currently the Chair of Infrastructure on Council's front bench (the Expenditure and Coordination Committee), he previously held the portfolios of City Business and Water Supply, Field Services and Environment, Parks and Sustainability.
