My lifes journey started in the UK . I was born in Manchester and emigrated to Australia when I was 21 yrs of age and one year married We sailed to Au on the Fairsky. yes 10pound poms. Landing in Melbourne (Vic in 1965) I lived there with my husband and later gave birth to a daughter and a year later a son. In 1980 we moved to Gladstone in Queensland due to my husbands career. The in 1982 we mov
ed down to Brisbane and lived in Algester for a few years. Moving again to build our new dream home in Windaroo (Qld). Our next move was a tragic one. My husband was diagnosed with Motor Neaurone Disease.with 18 months to live. We sold the house and moved into a unit in Buderim where I was able to look after Jim 24-7 without the worry looking after a larger home.
6 months later after the death of my husband. I lived in the unit for 2yrs. alone then moved into a semi retired village. Where I lived for 6yrs. In 2004 I remarried. Living in Maryborough for a short while and then down to the Hunter Valley region where Nev and myself had a lovely home built. Our last move 12 months ago ...is now in Coffs Harbour. not a new built home but downsized to something smaller so we can enjoy retirement. I started my art journey in my mid 40's and have loved every minute in my art room. I have so much to learn and I am enjoying the journey. My main interest is Pet Portraiture. I also love to do wildlife, Floral Art, Buildings, My prefered medium is Graphite. I also work in watercolor, Color Pencils and oils. I love being in my art room creating and always look forward to new and bigger challenges.
