Did you know Tilapia are an invasive pest species that threaten our local waterways? They compete with native fish, damage habitats and reproduce quickly.

That’s why the Tilapia Tournament 2026 is more than just a fishing competition; it’s a chance for the community to make a real difference.

πŸŽ₯ Meet Gabby Doyle

Gabby has been part of the Cassowary Coast Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) for the past 4 years, using her voice to help shape projects, support young people and make a positive difference in our community.

In this video, Gabby shares a little about her experience with the YAC and what being involved has meant to her.

If you’re 25 or under, or know someone who is, this could be a great opportunity to get involved, build skills, meet new people and have a say in the future of the Cassowary Coast.
