🥔 Election reflections from the not quite potato queen 🥔

Well it turns out my council election campaign was a bit like my first season growing potatoes
Not quite the bumper crop I hoped for but I learnt a lot gained some new skills and even found a few grubs along the way 🐛

Like any good grower I’ll be back next season or in this case four years a little wiser a little tougher and hopefully with better soil prep

In the meantime I’ll keep this page ticking along sharing insights & supportingour current councillors and cheering on the people working hard to make our shire something we can all be proud of

After all even Tony Galati didn’t grow the perfect spud on his first try 🥔💪

I’ve been so overwhelmed by the incredible support — thank you to everyone who’s stopped me in the street, sent a message, email, or call with your encouragement and hopes for this election. It truly means a lot 💙

No matter the outcome, I’m humbled and grateful to have been part of this local election. It’s opened my eyes to so many of the issues and ideas within our community, and it’s inspired me to keep finding ways to help and give back. 💪✨

Postal votes must be completed by the 13th of October

You can drop off your vote to the Shire admin building until 18th of October

If you have lost or not received one they also have forms available

Ensure you get your councillors elected by putting a vote in 😊

Thank you to the overwhelming amount of support I have received it truely has made me believe now more then ever what a difference I could make for our Shire

Please speak to your kids about this. I know filling in forms can be tedious but honestly if you don't participate it's why your voice isn't heard

I'm happy to assist if computers and online stuff isn't you thing!

The more people who speak up, the harder it is to ignore 💪🏻 Let’s encourage the kids to get involved and start shaping the future they want to see!

🌟 A Strong Future for All Four Towns in Our Shire 🌟

As a nominated councillor, I believe the future of our Shire depends on recognising and supporting the unique strengths of each community:

🏖️ Jurien Bay – growing as a tourism and service hub, we need to support local jobs, education opportunities, and protect our foreshore.
WHERE IS OUR MARINA AT??? Lets fight for our fish 🐟

🐟 Cervantes – with fishing and tourism at its heart, I’ll advocate for stronger support for local industries while protecting our fragile coastline and environment. But what do the kids do when its windy? Lets take another look at that skate park and the development of the playground for the kids in town!

🌾 Badgingarra – our agricultural powerhouse. With investment in infrastructure and services, we can keep our farming families strong, supported, and connected. At the same time, we must protect our delicate wildflowers and natural environment. As we embrace opportunities like renewable energy, let’s ensure wind farms complement — not compromise — our conservation efforts.

🌳 Dandaragan – the heritage heart of the Shire, where community, culture, and sustainable development need to be nurtured. Looking forward to the new Rec Centre development coming to life

Across all towns, I’ll work to deliver:
✅ Local jobs and training opportunities
✅ Better health and wellbeing services
✅ Stronger support for clubs and volunteers
✅ Inclusive and accessible spaces for everyone

Our Shire is stronger when Jurien Bay, Cervantes, Badgingarra, and Dandaragan all thrive together.
