LISTENING. UNDERSTANDING. EMPOWERING. 💚

Side by Side is more than a phrase at Me and You Care. It represents the way we approach every person, every goal and every moment of support.

It begins with listening.

Taking the time to hear what someone wants, understand what matters to them and recognise how they would like to be supported.

It means understanding.

Every person has their own strengths, preferences, experiences and goals. Meaningful support should respect each person as an individual and adapt as their needs and circumstances change.

Most importantly, it means empowering.

We are here to encourage confidence, support personal choice and help create opportunities for people to participate in their community, explore new experiences and work towards greater independence.

Walking beside someone does not mean making decisions for them. It means being present, offering encouragement and providing the right support so they can move forward in the way that feels right for them.

It also means celebrating every achievement together. Whether it is reaching an important goal, trying something new or simply feeling more confident, every step deserves to be recognised.

This is what Side by Side means to us.

CELEBRATING FRANK 💚

Today we are incredibly proud to celebrate Frank, one of the wonderful people we have the privilege of supporting at Me and You Care.

Frank volunteers at the Noble Park Community Centre , where he helps facilitate the accessible garden, teaches a photography class and runs a peer support program for people with disabilities.

Since retiring, volunteering has become an important and rewarding part of Frank’s life. He visits the centre three times each week, sharing his time, abilities and experience with the people around him.

Frank says volunteering has brought him great joy, introduced him to new people and opened the door to many different experiences.

“There’s always something else out there you can do.”

One of the things we admire most about Frank is the commitment he brings to helping others. Whether he is sharing his knowledge, offering practical support or simply making someone’s day by stopping to say hello, he gives every opportunity his very best.

Frank is a wonderful reminder that everyone has something valuable to contribute and that community connection can create confidence, purpose and belonging.

We are so proud of you, Frank, and of the positive difference you continue to make within your community. It is an honour to walk beside you and celebrate everything you achieve. 🧡

ME AND YOU CARE - SIDE BY SIDE, FROM THE BEGINNING 💚🧡💛

For anyone new to our community and for those who have been walking beside us from the beginning, we would love to reintroduce Me and You Care Support Services.

Just over a year ago, Me and You Care began with a heartfelt purpose: to provide personalised support, genuine connection and compassionate care that helps people live life on their own terms.

Since then, our dedicated team of Support Workers has brought kindness, reliability and encouragement into the daily lives of the people we support across Greater Melbourne and the South Eastern Suburbs.

The positive changes are found in moments both big and small, building confidence, developing independence, reaching personal goals, trying something new or simply knowing that someone genuinely cares and is there to listen.

As we move into an exciting new era of growth, our purpose remains the same. Growth, to us, means creating opportunities for more people to receive support that understands them, adapts to their lives and helps make every day more meaningful.

This is only the beginning.

We will be introducing to the wonderful people who bring Me and You Care to life. We can’t wait for you to meet the team behind the care and discover the personalities, passions and experiences that make each of them so special.

MEET SALLY & STACEY | CO-FOUNDERS OF ME AND YOU CARE 💚

When we began Me and You Care Support Services just over a year ago, we shared a simple but deeply important vision: to create a support service built on genuine relationships, personalised care and truly listening to the people we support.

Looking back on everything that has grown from that vision fills us with an incredible sense of pride.

We are proud of the compassionate, values-driven team we have built, people who bring kindness, patience, reliability and genuine care into every shift. Our Support Workers don’t simply provide assistance; they take the time to build trust, celebrate individuality and walk beside each person through everyday life.

Most of all, we are proud of the people we support.

We have witnessed so many meaningful achievements over the past year. Some have been significant milestones, while others have been quiet moments of courage, confidence or growing independence. Every goal reached, new experience embraced and positive step forward deserves to be celebrated.

These achievements belong to our clients. It is an absolute privilege for our team to encourage them, believe in them and provide the consistent support that helps make those moments possible.

To our wonderful team, clients, families and wider community, thank you for trusting us and becoming part of the Me and You Care journey.

We are incredibly proud of how far we have come together, but we know this is only the beginning. We look forward to supporting more people, celebrating many more achievements and continuing to make everyday life more meaningful, side by side.

MEET LEE-ANNE 💚

You can call her Lee, Lee-Anne or even Lou Lou, a nickname given to her by someone she previously supported that has stayed with her ever since.

With more than nine years of experience as a Support Worker, Lee-Anne brings kindness, compassion, empathy and a wonderful sense of humour to every person she supports.

For Lee-Anne, great support begins with building a genuine connection. She is passionate about helping people recognise their abilities, work towards their goals and feel confident trying new things. Whether she is encouraging someone through a new experience or simply being present to listen, Lee-Anne wants every person to feel respected, understood and genuinely supported.

“I’m passionate about helping people achieve their goals, try new things and feel genuinely supported.”

Outside of work, Lee-Anne loves getting out into nature, baking, catching up with friends, listening to music and watching movies. She also enjoys rodeos, concerts and classic car shows, so there is always something interesting to chat about!

Lee Anne’s warmth, caring nature and ability to bring humour into everyday moments make her a very special part of the Me and You Care team.

MEET REBECCA 💚

Rebecca is an enthusiastic and caring Support Worker who genuinely loves helping others through life. For her, supporting people is more than a job. It brings her great joy, a strong sense of purpose and the opportunity to give something meaningful back to others.

“I find real joy in supporting others, listening with compassion and making a meaningful difference in their lives.”

Rebecca brings compassion, respect and strong communication skills to every person she supports. She is a wonderful listener who takes the time to understand each person’s individual needs, preferences and goals.

Building genuine connections is incredibly important to Rebecca. She believes everyone deserves to feel heard, valued and respected, and she works hard to create an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves.

Rebecca also brings great attention to detail to both her work and everyday life. She is dependable, hardworking and committed to providing thoughtful, high quality support. Whether she is helping with daily activities, encouraging someone towards a goal or simply being present when they need someone to listen, Rebecca approaches every moment with care.

Her passion for supporting others and making a positive difference makes Rebecca a very valued member of the Me and You Care team.

MEET MANDY 💚

With seven years of experience in disability support, Mandy brings a thoughtful and empowering approach to every person she supports.

For Mandy, meaningful support begins with listening. She believes each person should feel respected, understood and confident in making choices about their own life.

“Supporting someone means making space for their choices, recognising their strengths and celebrating every step forward.”

Mandy is passionate about helping people access new opportunities, work towards their personal goals and recognise their own abilities. Rather than focusing on limitations, she looks for practical ways to encourage independence, build confidence and make everyday experiences more accessible.

She also understands that progress looks different for everyone. A milestone may be a major achievement, a new experience or a quiet moment of growing confidence. Whatever that step looks like, Mandy believes it deserves to be recognised and celebrated.

Her greatest reward is seeing the people she supports discover what they are capable of and knowing she has been able to walk beside them along the way.

Mandy’s respect for individual choice and her commitment to empowering others make her a valued member of the Me and You Care team.

MEET LAURA 💚

Laura is a friendly and down to earth Support Worker who is passionate about helping people feel happy, comfortable and confident being themselves.

“I want every person I support to feel heard, respected and confident being themselves.”

For Laura, meaningful support starts with listening. She takes the time to understand each person, recognise what matters to them and provide encouragement at a pace that feels comfortable.

As a mum, Laura has lived experience supporting children with disabilities and navigating teenage mental health challenges. These experiences have given her a deep sense of empathy, patience and understanding, which she brings into her work every day.

Laura enjoys supporting people with daily activities, becoming more involved in their community and building greater confidence and independence. Her nurturing and positive approach helps create a safe space where people feel heard, respected and supported.

Outside of work, Laura loves spending time with friends and family, watching the footy, listening to music and caring for her much loved fur babies.

Laura’s kindness, reliability and approachable nature make her a wonderful addition to the Me and You Care team.
