🐶 Meet Zenta: Our Guide Dog Puppy! 🦸‍♀️

Over the past year, our family has been lucky enough to foster Zenta, a beautiful guide dog pup. She was only 2 months old and a bit scared when she first joined us, so mum slept next to her for comfort. Soon, Zenta found her favourite spot—a cosy bean bag—and settled right in!

Raising a guide dog is a big job! We walk Zenta twice a day 🚶‍♀️, take her to the dog park to make puppy friends 🐕, and make sure she gets vet care when needed. Every week, she attends special training to learn important skills: listening to instructions, staying focused, walking perfectly by our side, and resisting temptation in busy places like supermarkets.

The best part? Watching Zenta grow into a smart, confident, and well-behaved pup. It’s wonderful knowing she’ll help change someone’s life in the future! Helena G 3/4P💛

And they’ve landed! 🛬 Our students had a wonderful last day in Broken Hill before flying home this afternoon. 🏡

They visited the mining memorial and the Royal Flying Doctors! 🩺

We are so proud of our Year 6 students’ behaviour while they’ve been away and a huge thank you to Mrs Sonemann and Mrs Wineberg for taking our students 🌟

🦴✨ Exciting times in 3/4P! Yesterday, the students had a fantastic ‘Fracture Clinic’ lesson with Mathew’s mum, Sue Kim, a wonderful physiotherapist 👩‍⚕️. She taught the children all about broken bones and how to mend them 🩹.

The kids even got hands-on, creating their very own casts 🖐️🏥 — and can’t wait to trick their parents by pretending they’ve broken a finger! 😄😂

A huge thank you to Sue Kim for generously sharing her time and expertise. The students loved every minute and learned so much! 🙌📚💙

Our fabulous Year 2 spellers participated in their grade finals today! They have practised and we are so impressed by their fantastic spelling ability 🔤

We loved welcoming the children from Little Steps Preschool to our LEPS Eco Garden this week! 🌱🐔🐹

The preschoolers enjoyed meeting our guinea pigs and chickens, exploring the garden, and planting some new vegetables. It was wonderful to see so much curiosity, enthusiasm and teamwork as they connected with nature and learned about caring for living things.

🎤KSP Choral Concert🎤

Our Senior Choir dazzled at the KSP Choral Concert on Friday performing ‘Shenandoah’ and ‘Northern Lights’ before joining the combined choir to perform ‘When She Loved Me’ and ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman’!

We are so proud of our talented singers! And a big thank you to Mrs Monaghan for helping our choir shine and to Killara Highschool for having us! 💫
