How does FOGO work?

Through the FOGO service, Liverpool residents with their own set of bins now have a better way to recycle food and garden waste. Here’s how!️

1️⃣ Collect your food scraps in the FOGO kitchen caddy using the compostable liners provided
2️⃣ When full, tie the liner and place it into your green-lidded FOGO bin which will be collected weekly
3️⃣ Garden waste like leaves and grass clippings can also go in the same bin
4️⃣ Your green-lidded FOGO bin is collected weekly and turned into compost

It’s that easy to keep waste out of landfill. 🌱💚

FOGO FAQs – How often will my FOGO green-lidded bin be picked up?

Your FOGO green-lidded bin is now being picked up weekly!

Remember to use your FOGO kitchen caddy with compostable liners to collect food scraps. Once full, simply tie the liner and place it in your FOGO green-lidded bin along with any garden waste. We'll handle the rest.

This initiative is part of the NSW Environment Protection Authority’s Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy, proudly funded by the waste levy.
