We are very proud of you Glenn Cossar !!!

🌟 STAFF SPOTLIGHT:
We give a huge shout out to long-time Lifeline MWS team member Glenn Cossar, who began volunteering ten years ago as a Crisis Supporter for Lifeline, answering our 24 hour 13 11 14 Crisis Line.

Glenn is an invaluable member of staff who was invited to become an In Shift Supervisor following his dedicated service, and works regularly in this role supporting Crisis Supporter teams, as well as liaising with emergency services when needed.

Glenn’s commitment sees him covering overnight and early morning shifts, some as long as 7 hours at a time, and takes over 1000 calls a year.

In addition, Glenn’s role extends to offering his time as a Student Mentor assisting our amazing trainers to guide students through our Crisis Supporter program. “It’s like a homecoming when the same students arrive at the Call Centre assigned to my shifts and they recognise me from their zoom classes” Glenn confirms.

“Representing Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney at community events for su***de prevention and encouraging positive wellbeing such as the ‘Mr Perfect’ or ‘Mateship’ monthly BBQs for men, is a huge privilege for me. My career highlight is that I am able to work and volunteer with the most wonderful people every day, assisting in saving lives, and helping our callers help themselves overcome some of their darkest moments.”

We are truly fortunate to have Glenn’s experience, compassion, and dedication at Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney. Together, we can all make a difference to those who need it the most within their darkest moments.
