Next weekend, the curtain rises on Patience, Gilbert & Sullivan's delightfully witty comic opera, presented by the Maleny Singers and accompanied by the wonderful Maleny Performing Arts Orchestra.

Remembering our friend, Maleny Singers former committee and chorus member David Edmonds, who passed away recently.

David will be remembered for his warmth, laughter and valued contribution to our singing community when he and wife Jean were part of our ensemble.

“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day… and in music, their voices remain with us always.”

A very special day at Government House yesterday as Margaret Taylor officially received her Medal of the Order of Australia 🏅

Margaret’s contribution to music, community and the arts over many decades has touched countless lives, and it was wonderful to see her recognised in such a fitting way.

Congratulations Margaret on this incredibly well-deserved honour. What an extraordinary achievement and a proud moment for all who know and love you 🎶
