It has truly been an honour and a privilege to have been part of the Well-being Lunch for the past three years.

Looking back, I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help create and build a service that has become such a meaningful part of our community. Watching it grow from an idea into something that brings people together has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey.

To every member who has attended, thank you for your warmth, trust, laughter, and friendship. You are the heart of this program, and it has been a privilege to share so many wonderful moments with you.

To our incredible team and dedicated volunteers, thank you for your passion, kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment. Your willingness to give your time and energy has made such a positive difference in the lives of so many people. It has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside such compassionate and inspiring individuals.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the organisation for believing in this initiative and supporting its growth. I am incredibly proud to have played a role in creating something that continues to make a real difference, and I look forward to watching the Well-being Lunch continue to flourish and reach even more people in the years ahead.

Over these past three years, I have learnt so much—not only professionally but personally as well. I have had the opportunity to build lasting relationships, expand my network, learn from remarkable people, and gain experiences that I will carry with me for years to come. The connections, conversations, and friendships formed through this program have been invaluable.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. It has been an experience I will always treasure, and I will always be proud to have been part of the Well-being Lunch family. While I may be beginning a new chapter in life, I leave with immense gratitude, wonderful memories, and great excitement to see this incredible service continue to grow, evolve, and positively impact our community for many years to come.

The Peel Hockey Stadium’s new surface is officially complete and looking fantastic! From juniors picking up a stick for the first time, to clubs training and competing, this upgrade means better facilities, safer play and more opportunities for our community to get active.

UPDATE: Repairs are now complete and the Waste management Centre has reopened.

🚧 Mandurah Waste Management Centre – temporary closure to general rubbish

Please be advised that the Waste Management Centre is currently closed to all general rubbish due to a critical plant failure.

This closure applies to both residential and commercial general waste and is expected to remain in place for the next 4–5 days while the issue is investigated and repairs carried out.

⚠️ As trucks need to dispose of waste at alternative sites, there may be delays (up to 24 hours) to both household rubbish and recycling collections. We kindly ask residents to leave their bins out on the verge until they are collected, even if they are not serviced on their usual day. Junk and metals verge collections will continue as normal.

✅ The Waste Management Centre remains open for all other waste streams, including green waste, inert materials, scrap metals (recycling), e-waste, mattresses, cardboard, and household hazardous waste.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

This proposal would update planning rules, including land use and building heights, to guide future development in this key location.

It could support future tourism opportunities, such as a hotel, but does not approve a building. Your feedback will help shape what’s appropriate for this area.
