WestSwim offers a Learn to Swim Program, Water Babies, private lessons, teen & adult and much more!

A unique feature of the WestSwim program is that we offer 45-minute classes, 7 days per week for children aged 3 years and above. For children under three, we offer a 30-minute water babies class on Saturday and Sunday mornings. WestSwim additionally offers private lessons, a squad program, teen and adult Learn to Swim Programs. ❄️ WINTER WEEK AT WESTSWIM ❄️

Connor didn’t get the memo… no beanie in sight on pool deck today 🧣👀

We told the team to set a good example… and well… this is what happens when you don’t dress appropriately for Winter Week 😄💦

Meanwhile, things are in full swing across the pool:

☕ 250+ FREE HOT CHOCOLATES already served in just two days (and counting!)
Our swimmers are keeping very warm from the inside out.

🐾 Spot-the-Animals Competition
Hidden animals are waiting around pool deck all week — can you find them all?

🧣 Winter Warm-Up Competition
Come dressed in your winter woollies to enter:
Beanies, scarves, dressing gowns, oodies… the cosier (or more ridiculous), the better!

Plenty of laughs, plenty of community, and a very suspicious focus on Connor’s “winter preparedness” 😄

Term 2 Swimming Starts Soon! 🏊‍♀️

We’re excited to welcome everyone back to WestSwim for Term 2!

A quick note for our Westminster School families 👇
Westminster School students return to school on Tuesday April 21, however WestSwim lessons will resume on Monday April 27 in line with the SA public school term dates.

We know this might throw a few families out, so please pop the date in your calendar so you don’t accidentally turn up early! 😊

We can’t wait to see all of our swimmers back in the water for another great term of confidence building, skill development and lots of fun.

Looking for something fun and productive these school holidays? 🏊‍♀️💙

Our School Holiday Intensive Program is the perfect way to boost your child’s swimming in just 3 days!

📅 April 13, 14 & 15
▪️3 consecutive days with same teacher
▪️Longer 1-hour group lesson format
▪️Open to everyone – you don’t need to be a current WestSwim family to join

A great way to try our swim school before committing to term lessons!

We often see children progress beyond expectations over these three days – consistency really does make a difference! If your child needs a confidence boost, wants to improve their skills, or you’re simply looking for a low-cost school holiday activity that will wear them out (in the best way 😄), the holiday intensive program is a great option.

Term 1 is coming to an end! 📅

A friendly reminder that WestSwim aligns with the SA public school term calendar.

• Last day of Term 1: Sunday, April 12
• First day of Term 2: Monday, April 27

All enrolments automatically roll over into the next term unless you request to drop or transfer to another day/time.

The first billing run for Term 2 will take place on Wednesday, April 22.

If you need to make any changes to your booking, please action via the iClassPro app before the new term begins. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the pool for another great term! 🏊‍♀️🌊

Meet the Team 👋

Say hello to three of our wonderful instructors who help make lessons at WestSwim so special!

Amy M
Our resident baby and toddler wrangler! Amy teaches across the weekends and has over 5 years of teaching experience. Coming from a family of swimming siblings, she’s always loved being in the water. When she’s not in the pool you’ll likely find her crocheting, eating tacos, or watching Tangled.

Alex H
One of our newer instructors, Alex joins us from NSW and is also one of our Westminster boarders. She comes from a very sporty family and was a swimmer herself. Alex also plays netball, loves spaghetti, and has one unusual fear… birds!

Abby F
Abby has been part of our team for around 3 years and is currently studying Child Development at uni. You’ll often see her working with our babies program at WestSwim. Abby has a gentle teaching style and is absolutely adored by our littlest swimmers. Outside the pool she loves reading, and her favourite food is mango.

We’re lucky to have such a fantastic team supporting our swimmers every week! 🌊🏊‍♀️

🌊 Laps for Life – Week 1 complete!

What an incredible start! By the end of the weekend, we had raised $1,934 and swum a collective 49.8km! 🏊‍♀️💪

Every lap and every dollar counts towards raising awareness for youth mental health initiatives and su***de prevention. A huge thank you to everyone involved — your effort truly makes a difference.

🏊‍♂️ A big weekend for two of our WestSwim athletes!

This past weekend our coaching team had the pleasure of celebrating the achievements of two young swimmers competing at their very first State Long Course Championships — James and George.

Both swimmers train in our WestSwim Development Squads and are proud members of Unley Swim Club as part of the current Westminster / Unley Swimming Alliance, which brings the two programs together as we move toward a formalised partnership ahead of the 2026/27 long course season. This year marks our initial trial year, and it’s incredibly exciting to see our swimmers already making their mark at state level.

James competed in:
• 50m Breaststroke
• 100m Breaststroke
• 50m Backstroke

George competed in:
• 50m Backstroke
• 50m Freestyle
• 50m Breaststroke
• 100m Breaststroke
• 100m Freestyle

George went on to make three state finals, placing:
🥇 8th in the State – 50m Backstroke
🥇 7th in the State – 50m Breaststroke
🥇 7th in the State – 100m Breaststroke

For two swimmers attending their first ever State Championships at the young age of 11yrs, this is an incredible effort and something the whole team is very proud of.

👏 Huge congratulations James and George — we can’t wait to see what comes next!

Friendly Reminder 📣

WestSwim will be closed tomorrow, Monday March 9, for the Adelaide Cup public holiday.

Families have not been charged for lessons that would normally fall on this day.

We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and we look forward to seeing our swimmers back in the pool soon! 🏊‍♀️🌊

💙 WestSwim is Taking on Laps for Life! 💙

This March, the WestSwim team is diving in for the Laps for Life challenge — raising vital funds and awareness for youth mental health and the prevention of youth su***de.

As swim instructors, we work with young people every single day. We see their courage, their growth, their resilience — and we know how important it is that they feel supported both in and out of the water. This cause is incredibly close to our hearts.

🏊‍♀️ Our goal:
✔ Swim 100km collectively
✔ Raise $1,000
📅 All throughout the month of March

Every lap we swim and every dollar raised goes towards supporting young people who may be struggling.
