Interested to learn practical uses for spreadsheets.

A small intimate session will be held at Dunolly & District Neighbourhood Centre on Monday 31st, August from 10am to 12.00pm. Presented by Maryborough Volunteer Resource Group, we are a friendly welcoming group aiming to enhance digital literacy. The sessions are interactive and provide a safe place to ask questions.

In this session we will explore using spreadsheets to make budgeting easy, have a bit of fun and learning how huge data sets can be brought to life using amazing graphs.

A bonus topic will be how to automate mass personalised emailings to your groups. This combines the power of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook to make a tedious task easy and more professional. This is a must for NFPs and community groups.
Feel free to bring your laptop.

Book in with Kath Ryan at the Dunolly & District Neighbourhood Centre on 5468 1511. Cost: free

Our members reach out in many areas of volunteering across the Central Goldfields. Recently Maitland Wallace, of MVRG, was involved in a project for Bush Heritage. Bush Heritage is a not-for-profit conservation organisation, that protects ecosystems and wildlife across the continent. It is funded through donations from the general public and partnerships, working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the agricultural sector to make sure their impact is deep, sustainable and collaborative.
" My friend, Rod Taylor, asked if I could help build a shed for Bush Heritage", explains Maitland.
"The project was to build a small shed on the John Douglas Reserve, on Dja Dja Wurrung land, near Stuart Mill managed by John van Tiggelen".
"The building is to be used as a camp kitchen, a shelter for Bush Heritage volunteers who may be planting or collecting seed for Native Plant propagation, and also as a roof area for rain water catchment".
"Rod sourced the Building materials, and brought them to site. We then, with the aid of John, built this Shed as shown by the following photo’s".
Well done to Maitland and the team, another example of the positive outcomes of collaborative volunteering.

You're invited to another brilliant workshop as part of the Thriving Maryborough Workshop Series: Creating a Strategic Plan
