State Emergency Service - North Coast Region The North Coast Region covers the areas of Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie, Cherbourg, South Burnett, North Burnett, Bundaberg and Fraser Coast.

There are around 800 SES volunteers across the region supported by SES Staff in Maryborough and Sunshine Coast.

Sunshine Coast SES Unit recently attended the Future Tracks Careers Expo at Good Samaritan Catholic College in Bli Bli, engaging with approximately 400 students from Years 9–12.

The expo provided a great opportunity to showcase the diverse and rewarding roles within the SES, highlighting volunteer pathways, emergency response activities, and the vital role SES members play in supporting communities across Queensland
